PowerWash Simulator

@John_Many_Jars Can you tell us about your power washer?

Hot damn, the video of power washing a full pool, was epic.

So this is basically HardSpace: Shipbreaker but in NG+ mode?

If you were washing things instead of taking them apart, and if they were stuff like cars and houses and parks instead of spaceships then yes, identical to Hardspace.

Maybe there is spaceship washing later in the game?

You intuit very well — I have used a power washer on my penis since they became available. A lot of chicks have left graffiti in hard-to-reach places around on the underside, including crossing out each other’s names and writing in their own, and the window-washing pole I used to use just couldn’t reach some of those spots, so I sometimes had to use a steam cleaning service.

Power washing has worked well mostly, but for carvings and etchings I’ve found these to be the only tool that works. I buy a case of 'em from Amazon, take them to this local Asian spa, outfit the girls with masks and snorkels, and just let them go to town until the last brick wears out.

I use the yellow nozzle most of the time but I often try to get away with using the greenie. Also, using soap is awesome on those encrusted and lichen areas, they mostly melt away. When I first used soap I used it all the time (and ran out quickly) but now I switch to soap for the extra tough areas, spray them a bit, then switch back to ol’ yeller for the rest.

Is there any way to find the last 1% of dirt? I’m stuck on a house where 1 of 21 “wooden trims” is at 99%. I’ve sprayed and sprayed the trims, crawled around on my belly spraying undersides, climbed up ladders spraying top joints and have been unable to find that last pesky percent. I know I can move without completing the house but it bugs me that I can’t complete it.

You can press the Tab key (on keyboard anyway, I don’t know what the gamepad button is) and it will highlight areas that still have dirt on them, but it’s probably hard to spot it when you’re down to just 1%. I usually just run around and try to quickly point at each of the item in question, looking for that visible pixel on the completion bar… it’s something you can see when you’re looking at the piece, even if you’re not seeing the dirty part of it.

If you press escape it will show you which parts are 100% and which are not, if you highlight the part not complete and return to the game the part that needs cleaning will flash.

It be makes it really to complete your cleans

Yeah, I’ve been trying to hover over and doing the escape thing and neither one is really helping. I think I’ll give it one more go and then move on.

I think you’re past the “dirt flashing” being helpful so you want the whole object to flash using that list. You might need to be standing or looking in the right place to catch the quick flash. GOOD LUCK! This would drive me crazy too.

Washing the carousel while it’s on gives me vertigo. :/ Even a little bit while it’s off, to be honest.

Of all the games to use spoiler tags on…

Eh, I figure those of us who are enjoying this game maybe don’t want to know what kind of jobs are coming up. shrug

All good, I just found it funny

For some unknown reason I have spent a most of may gaming time this weekend playing this. I got the heavy duty power washer and completed about 4 more large items.

This game has obscure item DLC written all over it. Big Ben inside and out or St Paul’s cathedral or many historic landmarks if possible

Been playing a lot of this over the weekend and I’m a bit surprised to discover that they are creeping in a bit of a plot between the cracks. I mean, blink and you’ll miss it, often quite literally because it’s mostly presented through texts that people send you while you’re actually doing your job. Still though, they do kind of tie together all these jobs into an overarching story, kind of. Not sure if it’s going anywhere - what is the mayor up to? Where did all the cats go? Is that ominously smoking volcano going to blow its top? Who puts a frickin’ laser beam on a Lear jet? Guess we’ll just have to see.

I’ve noticed the same! Definitely some weird stuff going on in this place…

Well considering the laser jet and the underground tunneler are the same client. Seems rather apparent he’s a supervillain of some sort.

The mayor’s “plotline” has an amusing ending.

Finished up career mode. What an unexpected gem of a little game this is. Curious to see if there’s any DLC planned.
