Yeah, let’s just give them a chance and stop getting in their way, guys!
The Kushner (and now Ivanka) nepotism-law end run is pretty amazing. In any other administration would be an epic scandal by itself.
Well, he’s Teflon Don after all.
Same exact sentiment here, I get it, but, just… no.
A the healthcare repeal battle rages our president is out playing truck.
Edit: Even better comment on it:
Around here they call those events “truck touches.” Very popular with 7 year olds.
Funny you should say that:
That’s fucking brilliant.
Popular with my 3 year old too. But at least when mine shits on the floor I can discipline him and he’ll try better next time.
I think 45’s earned a time out of… 4 years sounds about right.
Too funny:
What is confidence interval?
I believe it is the margin of error where the approve/disapprove overlap. Full separation means the level of disapproval is fully outside the margin of error.
(I’m fully making this up, do not take this as analysis from someone who remembers anything from their stats course)
More or less. I’m quite far removed from my education, but let me try to explain. What they show with the line is the measured value. They are trying to assess the value of a population based on a smaller sample. The shaded area takes potential error into account and basically says “X% of the time we draw this interval, it will include the true value”. Note that confidence intervals can be whatever percent you want to use, but 95% is the most common, at least in scientific research. If you used a different value, the shaded area could be smaller or larger.
A confidence interval around an estimated value is a range within which the ‘true’ value will fall some fraction (commonly 95%) of the time we compute this interval.
Note that this does not mean that there is a 95% chance the true mean falls within this confidence interval.
I should also add there’s very little worth in discussing ‘confidence interval separation’ on Trump’s approval/disapproval ratings!
“We’re nearing confidence interval separation” sounds like something you’d hear a NASA ground officer say to an astronaut.
I love how polling samples regularly lie outside their confidence interval too. It’s clearly a confidence interval for the true polling average and not a confidence interval for Trump’s true approval rating which you would expect is what the reader’s actually care about.
Oops.
Yessss… Let them eat themselves. Trump is going down. I hope he takes the whole fucking party with him.
Excellent, it is all going to plan.
Joe Pesci is a time traveler, he tried to warn us, but we did not paid attention.
