Donald Trump is basically Ross Perot 2.0. He’s a billionaire who has managed to convince blue collar whites that they have more in common with him than they do with Mexican immigrants. He’s an outsider who is not going to let Washington tell him how best to game the system.

Perot seems way more down to earth than Trump.

Trump just seems to be a huge dickhead.

Perot may have been crazy, but at least he wasn’t crazy crazy.

Honestly, it’s not even a crazy thing.

I just feel like Trump would step on your throat as soon as look at you. I feel like he is a profoundly immoral person.

The documentary, Born Rich, has a scene where Ivanka is telling Jamie Johnson about how she and her dad stepped outside one of their penthouses and saw a homeless guy sitting against the building. This was during one of Trumps bankruptcies, and he apparently whined to his daughter that the bum was worth more than he was. I immediately remembered my sociology prof saying that Trump was estimated to have caused half the homelessness in NYC by the late 80s and immediately wanted to throat punch him.

At least Perot had specific plans (hey, he had posters and slides, remember? ;) ) Trump is basically riding this for the ego boost and media attention. I can’t believe he actually thought he’d still be in it and certainly not the GOP leader at this point. I can’t believe it myself. He is one huge blustering joke. “I’m gonna build a wall and the Mexicans will pay for it.” “I’m going to wipe out ISIS and Al Queda is gonna do it for me.” “I’m going to reform health care and make it affordable and the insurance companies are gonna do it for me.” It’s all so ridiculous I have to believe in private, with his wife, he has to say “Can you BELIEVE so many people are buying into this?”

What is scary are his comments on how he is going to make all our enemies afraid of us. As in, what would he actually do. I don’t think he’s beyond ordering military strikes, etc. just to show how tough he is (there is a time and place for that, but it needs to be extremely measured, with the input of actual smart people.)

Not necessarily a bad quality in a president. But I get your point.

I remember thinking at the time that Perot was a lunatic but, by today’s standards, he’d be among the more sane candidates.

Trump is absolutely the bigger asshole though. He’s got that sewn up.

Ah, Father Time has indeed been kind to Ross Perot as memories fade. Dude was utterly bonkers. Are you forgetting how he dropped out of the campaign entirely and then came back and claimed GOP operatives had threatened to disrupt his daughter’s wedding? Hell, they played Patsy Cline’s “Crazy” at his rallies.

Can I introduce you to Crazy Carson?

I hope tomorrow’s debate can be seen by everyone on the net, not just subscribers to that channel.

I’m ashamed to admit this now, but I watched all those 30 minute infomercials by Ross Perot when I was in college, and I fell for them. I really thought he’d be the best candidate for the U.S. Economy because of all his charts and graphs that he showed during those commercials.

Fox Business (who’s running the show tomorrow) announced that they will be streaming the debate to anyone. That’s discussed here in case you think I’m a big fat liar!

You and Dennis Miller both!

Hey, PowerPoint had been released just a couple years before. Charts during presentations were all the rage ;)

Listening to Bobby Jindal and Chris Christie is really making me like Hillary Clinton for the first time. Jindal keeps saying he’ll cut cut cut, and Christie says apparently Hillary will move us to a single payer health care system. She will? Sign me up! He’s making a better case for her than she does.

I wonder what percentage of listeners have any idea what a single-payer health care system is?

^^^BINGO^^^

Don’t matter whut it is. I know itz bad. Fox news told me so.

But hands off my medicare!

Ben Carson has crazy paintings of himself in his house.

Jesus looks kind of like Russell Crowe.

Or an alien with a split cranium.
