Boy, it sure would be nice if Republicans could have worked with Democrats to fix certain bad parts of the ACA over the last five years instead of throwing a nonstop tantrum and wasting time with 50+ “symbolic” votes to repeal it wholesale.
I think this is why Republicans like Trump. They believe everyone else has been bought out.
I liked to believe that the Democratic Frontrunners have been bought by groups hold more interests in common with me. Hillary does have a lot of wealthy donors, but those donors aren’t as repugnant to me as Koch, Daniel Loeb, or Sheldon Adelson.
Bernie, I guess his supporters would like to argue that he isn’t paid by anyone. And maybe that’s true, but to me, its not whether you’ve been bought and sold that the problem, it’s who is doing the buying and the selling, and quite frankly, on the GOP side, it’s not people I would like.
Considering Hillary’s strong–and gleefully defended–ties to the global finance industry that orchestrated our most recent little financial disaster, I have little confidence in her ongoing ability to attend to our best interests as a nation on financial matters at the very least.
Still, yes, a far sight better than the opposition on the other side of the aisle, but it’s not something I’d call a net positive (not to imply that you did).

Good news! According to Trump’s doctor, the candidate’s blood pressure is “astonishingly excellent”, his physical strength and stamina are “extraordinary”, and he will be the “healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”.

Let’s not forget all those enlightened Saudi princes and Pakistan businessmen who made donations to the Clinton Foundation. Let’s see 1,100 foreign donations and counting

I want to share this article here so we can collectively roll our eyes and maybe score some guinness record or something.

Donald Trump’s medical report turns out to be crazy, because OF COURSE IT IS.

Does he use Putin’s doctor?
Most of me hopes that the Donald, disappears tomorrow into a black hole or Bermuda triangle or something.
But part of me hopes he sticks around for the next year just from the sheer entertainment value.
Anybody else feel the same way?

I am so passed Trump’s popularity being amusing and well into the horror stage. I mean, he is still amusing, but it’s hard to enjoy because it’s so much more real at this point. I don’t trust the conventional wisdom that he can’t win, because it seemed just as implausible to me that he would retain his top spot for all these months when he first appeared. Not to mention the possibility of a scandal or whatever opening up the possibility.

I’m done with him. At this point, I feel like we are in Germany in 1932, and we are watching something terrible, and I want it over.
It will all be fine once Trump loses and a semi reasonable, completely sane candidate like… wait a second! Carson and Cruz? And basically nobody else with any votes at all? You guys are screwed.
It’s been an interesting spectacle.
Lord knows where it will take us.
The doctor’s report is even more wonderful when you get the full context. It was written by Harold Bornstein, and he references his father, Jacob Bornstein in the note; they shared a practice. That’s all fine.
Trump tweeted out a notice (since deleted) thanking the elder Bornstein for the letter:
I am proud to share this health report, written by the highly respected Dr. Jacob Bornstein of Lenox Hill Hospital
That’s fine too, except for one small detail: Jacob Bornstein died five years back. Apparently Trump never connected the dots as to why the younger Bornstein has been giving him his checkups since before 2010. Or, I guess, read the signature line of the letter.
