Newt Gingrich was doing really well four years ago at this time. Trump’s support can crumble as soon as people decide that he doesn’t have a chance of winning. The only reason he’s doing as well as he is is because the rest of the field is a total trainwreck. But if Rubio keeps doing well that might change.

I’d rather the election end up close with Rubio v. Clinton than give Trump even a chance of becoming President by being the nominee.
