Not wrong about what? What is this guy offering besides a bunch of promises he has no chance of fulfilling, and basically pointing out he could commit murder and his mindless sheeples would still follow him like he was the best thing ever.

That’s exactly what he isn’t wrong about - his followers don’t care what he does now, they’re there for him.

Superhero? It looks like he’s trying to be the billionaire that saves America from Hitler’s toupee by throwing the race.

And he did it in front of them, and they laughed.

I can imagine that every one of them was thinking to themselves, “yeah, all these other guys are such fools!”
On a separate note, I’m wondering if this storm is going to end up having an impact on the primary. Since new Jersey is going to be hit so hard, it’s going to end up putting Christie directly into the limelight. And honestly, Christie tends to shine in such situations.

Well he is in Jersey right now. He was just on the news, but not for very long. Just a sound bite. If he’s proactive and careful it could mean a small local bump.
I hope Bloomberg runs. If it is Cruz vs Hillary, I could vote for Bloomberg in good conscious. In general, I think Bloomberg would attract more Democrats than Republicans.

Yeah, that’s what I was talking about. He’s not wrong those who support him may be ignorant tools.
He’s wrong about literally everything else though. Good god is he wrong.

In the next few weeks we get to see if people are really as terrible as the polls have suggested.
It’s still only a minority of Republicans that support him even in the polls, but it is an embarrassingly large minority.

See I assume that many not-insane Republicans would vote for Bloomberg if the race is Trump v Sanders, thereby giving Sanders the win. So Bloomberg running is intended to submarine Sanders? I mean, he’d be running as a spoiler candidate, clearly.

And considering that barely anyone except the craziest and most zealous people vote in primaries…
I’m not sure he’ll carry Iowa. He isn’t enough Jesus. Cruz probably will though, and honestly, that’s not a whole lot less scary.
I’m not sure how that would play out. I know I’ll personally vote for whoever has the best shot of preventing Trump from becoming President.

Perfect Obama’s dad born in Africa, Mitt Romney’s dad born in Mexico. Any pure breeds left? #CNNDebate
Source? Trump’s national spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson.
How long before he starts drafting his Nuremberg Laws? Will he wait till after the election or bring them out on the campaign?
So you are getting Trump as President? I’ve not been following closely recently, but this BBC article (so, outside the goldfish bowl info) has me worried:
‘Is Donald Trump now unstoppable?’:
But at least he is not Ted Cruz…right? Which seems to be the gist - what has happened to the Republicans post 9-11!? Should the rest of the world be really worried, does this mean nuclear war is now likely (either by design or mistake), that chaos is on it’s way, that this is a sign of the Apocalypse of western civilization? Trump!! I joked about it in the past (but was assured it wouldn’t happen)…Mr Trump President sir!!! wtf.
As horrible as Cruz is, he’s at least qualified to be President. The problem is the Republican party establishment would rather have Trump than Cruz.
Trump seems inevitable as the GOP nominee now - but no one has voted yet. We’ll know after the first few primaries (Iowa, NH, SC, and Nevada.) If Trump sweeps those or wins 3/4, then yes he has a very good chance of winning the nomination.
If Bloomberg runs, that spells trouble for Democrats. He’s appealing to moderate Dems and independents, which could well mean President Trump.
Now that the mainstream media is wondering if he’s unstoppable, his defeat is nigh. We’ve reached peak Trump.

A lot can happen. The early GOP front runner has faded away the last couple of election seasons.
And as much as I dislike Trump, I’d rather have him than Cruz. Trump is all bluster and show biz, although he has been pretty masterful at keeping Bush, then Carson, now Cruz on their heels explaining themselves. Cruz is a scary “True Believer” who was willing to allow the nation default and pushed for it, willing to let the world economy crash again in order to keep his Tea Party “purity” and knowing his followers would allow him to blame the Democrats as we went into another global recession or worse. Trump has no idealogical purity, as ass-holey as he is.
I think that is probably the biggest problem I have with the GOP is the lack of pragmatism that is necessary to run a country this size. I would love to have a liberal president who will push through a single payer system, redo our tax code (fewer handouts, lower tax burdens for lower class more energy credits, fewer mortgage credits, no charity deductions, higher estate taxesl, family leave, minimum wage, stricter gun control laws, and stronger workers right, but that won’t work, and not all of my hopes and dreams are best for the nation. Baby steps where people work on the things that can be worked on.
But to the GOP, compromise is a dirty word, at least on the house level, and that doesn’t work in our system of Democracy.
Trump wings it, Cruz has a machivellian strategy to gain power. In Crusader Kings, Trump would be married to a hot Russian princess with bad stats and he would throw feasts to show off. Cruz would be married to a hunchback with good stats to create an alliance with the HRE and he would be one of those bastards that asks the Pope to excommunicate you.

Cruz is way more cynical and intelligent than people think. Trump might actually believe the shit he says; Cruz is 100% telling sheeple what they want to hear. Trump might actually have some pride and choose to do things for the good of the country (however misguided he normally is), Cruz would always do whatever is politically expedient. That makes Cruz potentially more dangerous. All IMO of course.
