Ideally, you want to be pregnant during training, and then give birth while on the starting block.

Not only is the baby like training with weights, but the baby ejection process can be used to launch you off the starting block, giving you that crucial edge in high level competition.

I think you’re onto something, there.

I was going to make a crack about the upcoming summer olympics and the zika virus and aerodynamics, but I guess it’s too soon.

LOL - probably, but I appreciate the thought.

Just to note, NYT has the same quote but without “race.” Might be a typo on Politico’s part.

Of course, you’re hoping the umbilical cord breaks. …

And now here’s Rubio’s entire verbatim response to Obama visiting a Mosque:

Rubio is a shithead.

Speaking of Rubio, his tax plan calls for the capital gains tax rate to be zero percent.

As the lib’ral rag the NY Times says:

His plan would impose no tax at all on interest, dividends or capital gain income from stocks. It would also set a maximum tax rate of 25 percent on business income, both for large corporations and small ones. In many cases, that would mean business owners would pay a lower tax rate on profits than their employees would pay on their wages — even after counting both taxes paid by the business and those paid by the business owner directly.

Mr. Rubio’s tax plan has drawn attention for so-called family-friendly features, including a significantly expanded child tax credit. It has also drawn criticism from Senator Ted Cruz for imposing too high a tax rate on wage income — rates of up to 35 percent. Mr. Rubio seeks a lower top rate than is imposed today, but one higher than any other current Republican presidential candidate has proposed. Mr. Cruz’s plan, which combines a flat income tax with a value-added tax, would impose an effective combined tax rate of 24.4 percent on wages.

That’s actually not his entire reponse.

Ok fine, here’s the rest:

And by the way, radical Islam poses a threat to Muslims themselves.”

“But again, it’s this constant pitting people against each other – that I can’t stand that. It’s hurting our country badly," Rubio said. “We can disagree on things, right? I’m a Dolphin fan, you’re a Patriot fan.”

‘Let’s not be divisive’

<— said while actually being divisive

I guess at least Rubio wasn’t proposing a flat tax. That Cruz tax plan is as big of a ‘fuck you for being poor’ as I’ve ever seen.

Rubio has no substance. And everyone is focusing on tearing him down. I don’t think he’s a strong enough candidate to survive. He really is simply an identity candidate.

Visiting a Mosque is being ‘divisive’ … how in the heck.

No one rational can take Obama’s speech and translate that into divisiveness. But the billionaire’s sock-puppet, aka the GOP Golden Boy, is the sane one.

And he probably has a better than even chance of being the next President.

Keep in mind that I think Rubio is a complete turd…

I believe that to him and his fans, the President giving a speech at a mosque is political theater meant to snub those that view Islam as a threat to the country and their way of life. Ergo, it’s divisive because to those idiots, the act is a purposeful insult to their concerns.

I kinda get it. Imagine if Rubio gave a speech at a KKK rally. We’d say that he’s being a divisive racist asshole, while he’d say that he’s trying to unite Americans for a better future.

Once again, to be clear, I do not agree with him or that line of thought.

Rubio is a guy who never dreamed he would be the front-runner. He ran this time because he wanted to increase his national exposure and because he thought (correctly) that he would make an excellent VP pick for anyone other than Bush (who would already have the Florida connection). But I’m convinced that he never actually planned to be an actual contender in this election.

Now that he is shouldering the weight of “The Establishment’s” hopes and dreams, he finds himself in a pretty shitty place: He can’t drop out, but I don’t really think he is prepared to run a long-term national campaign either.

It’s still mind-boggling that a crazy conservative like Rubio can be considered part of the “establishment”.

Yeah, I think it’s only in comparison to Trump and Cruz. The “establishment” seems to be in an “anybody except those two” mode.

Yea and this is why I keep betting on Cruz here. Vaguely youthful good looks and a complete mediocrity with no substance, but who substantially parrots Cruz-like policies? At some point the “establishment” will hold its nose and hitch their cart to the asshole who says crazy shit on purpose and strategically, not because he forgets to think before he speaks.
