He forgot about paying wages to a (softcore) Porn Star and employing known harlots as pitchmen… ;)

Maybe they can cancel the question-answering part of the next debate and replace it with a slap-fight?

Ok, I do not like Cruz, but references to office space are pretty awesome.

I like that ad.

Trump will sue Cruz for being born in Canada if he doesn’t stop being mean to Trump.

You cannot make this shit up.

If @TedCruz doesn’t clean up his act, stop cheating, & doing negative ads, I have standing to sue him for not being a natural born citizen.

That’s a great article, thanks for posting it. It helps clarify many of the concerns that have been vaguely formed in my mind with regard to Clinton on the foreign policy front.

That exchange between Sanders and Clinton last night was a great moment. I laughed at loud at Sander’s spontaneous interruption:

CLINTON: Well, I know journalists have asked who you do listen to on foreign policy, and we have yet to know who that is.

SANDERS: Well, it ain’t Henry Kissinger. That’s for sure.

I don’t like Cruz either, but his campaign has consistently been pretty funny on social media and has done clever ads.

Personally, I am a sucker for the feel-good America ads like Sanders has run.

Here is a funny Cruz adon Trump

I feel that this piece is effectively missing a crucial aspect of Kissinger, by attempting to make a moral judgement of him personally for things which happened while he was secretary of state.

The reality is, Kissinger was not president. He was an advisor, and he offered advice to further the goals he was given.

And ultimately, your moral judgement of Kissinger is somewhat moot. Kissinger is, without question, one of the greatest minds in foreign policy of the twentieth century. You can question many things about him and his actions, but you cannot question that he possessed an unparalleled depth of understanding when it came to foreign policy.

So maybe Bernie SHOULD get some advisors like Kissinger, because Kissinger definitely knows infinitely more about that topic than Bernie. And you don’t need to do what advisors say. Sometimes, it’s beneficial to have smart people who disagree with you.

REALITY

Kissinger is what happens when you combine an incredibly sharp mind to a body lacking anything closely resembling a moral compass.

This could totally be argued, as I said. But only fools who have no grasp of international politics in the 20th century would discount his expertise, or think that they could learn nothing from him.

Yeah, I stand by my statement. We can all learn from Herr Goebbels.

Yea we can and Leni Riefenstahl, and Albert Speer, and Werner Von Braun. It takes a foolishly closed mind, not to recognize that your side doesn’t have a monopoly on smart people.

I believe you are making an error, perhaps stemming from a lack of familiarity with Kissinger, his life, and his accomplishments.

This is fairly common, but I would urge you to step back and perhaps reconsider your evaluation, as Henry Kissinger is a complex personality.

Certainly, even on the most superficial level, suggestion of a similarity between Kissinger and someone like Goebbels who was driven almost entirely by ideology is to kind of misunderstand the most fundamental aspects of Kissinger’s own policy positions.

So much violence against inanimate objects… Better watch your back, Dr. Carson!

Of course, the last line under “Family and personal life” is all we really need to know.

Bring on the bread and circuses.

Whats your equivalent of the Electoral Commission? Once elections start in the UK they are governed by a pretty strict set of regulations and I’m fairly certain that candidates suing each other is up there as verboten.

I love Wikipedia, I really do, but certain sections are just battlegrounds between factions and absolutely awful. I wonder how many people read wikipedia entries not knowing that the bias of the page flips from week to week dependent on which wikieditor is a better wikilawyer.

TIL Kissinger wasn’t driven by ideology.

The More You Know!

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) is ostensibly the equivalent, but they only regulate campaign finances (they’re the agency that lost in Citizens United). The US is a very litigation-happy country.
