Hillary will beat him just like Jeb was supposed to, right? Like Rubio is supposed to?
Realize Carlin is talking about Hillary’s donors too, her owners. This is what the Bernie people AND the Trump people are voting against. It’s powerful, and it’s true.
Yeah, it will be a war, but a war that should be won as long as people don’t take it easy. Also if there’s a brokered convention, I don’t see how it doesn’t fracture the GOP. I mean, imagine you’re a Trump supporter; the Republicans already extracted a promise out of Trump to not run as an independent. Then, when it looks like he’s on the path to victory in the primary, they start playing games to prevent him from winning. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’d walk away from the party with a raised middle finger as my parting gift.
Triggercut, don’t forget to stretch before and after reading this thread, so that you don’t accidentally pull something. That’s what I’ve been doing. It’s tax season, and I can’t forward an eye injury.
You rascals!
I’m going to necro my comments in January when President Trump is sworn in, explicitly to gloat. Then I’ll go jump off a bridge.
I think George is dead, so he probably isn’t.
I’ll allow the one if it comes with the other. Package deal sort of thing.
Since Clinton is now the apparent shoo-in, I guess we better hope Trump wins the nomination:
Sanders led Trump with an 12-point lead, 55 to 43 percent. In the January iteration of the poll, Sanders only led by three points.
Sanders also beat Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) by eight points and beat Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) by 17 points in head-to-head match-ups.
Clinton beat Trump with an 8-point lead, 52 to 44 percent. This is a sharp increase from the 1- to 2-point leads she had over the real estate mogul in the December and January versions of the poll.
Clinton lost to Rubio by three points and lost to Cruz by one point in head-to-head match-ups.
Both Democratic candidates would also beat Trump if former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg ran as an independent.
It will be a very small bridge, over a creek. However my feet will likely get wet and cold because it will be January after all.
Man, Hillary vs Trump is the scenario in Ray Bradbury’s time-travel story, A Sound of Thunder. The moderate defeats the fascist candidate but time-travelers go back in time on a safari and one of the dudes accidentally kills a butterfly, changing history, and when they return the fascist has won the election.
So no time-travel this election cycle, please!

Interesting article on Elizabeth Warren. The thesis is that she’s staying neutral, so she can later play a prominent role in uniting the party. It makes sense to me.
Or, you know, take it as a March poll.
She’s catching absolute hell on twitter from Sanders supporters for staying on the sidelines.

I think the more the establishment works to stop Trump, the more determined his supporters get.
Les Moonves, CEO of CBS, on Trump:
"It may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS, that’s all I got to say.”
“They’re not even talking about issues. They’re throwing bombs at each other and I think the advertising reflects that.” Moonves added, “I’ve never seen anything like this and this is going to be a very good year for us. … It’s a terrible thing to say, but bring it on, Donald, go ahead, keep going.”
I guess, if you’re willing to overlook her sky-high unfavorables, which are only slightly ameliorated by Trump’s being even worse.
Jesus this is gonna get ugly.
Yeah, these March polls are absolute garbage, especially the national ones. Even if they were rigorously managed with a great methodology contacting a wide and representative swath of the American public… they’d still be garbage because we don’t elect our President based on an aggregate popular vote.
Honestly, show me the numbers from Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Arizona. As things stand, those are the only states that matter to a large degree. You could expand that list out to maybe a dozen states that could POSSIBLY make a difference if you wanted to be dramatic about it.
Here’s a good case for Trump sometimes saying exactly what he believes.

Looks like Trump is facing fraud charges, again, for the fake university he ran.
