Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

From the people who brought you Emma, The Spider-Man Handbook, Sense and Sensibility and The Big Book of Porn: A Penetrating Look at the World of Dirty Movies comes their first big team up, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Damn you. Damn you all to hell.

I’ve been saving that image for the perfect moment, but nooooo you had to go and make your own thread. Jackass.

I’ve seen links to that book posted on a lot of blogs, but no reviews or feedback from anyone who’s actually read it.

is this a real book or just a funny picture? Because if it’s a real book then it has my interest. I guess it still has my interest if it’s just a funny picture but not as much.

edit: oh man, it’s only 12 bucks on amazon.ca…

It’s a mystery for the ages.

Book doesn’t come out 'til May 13.

Preordered, along with the next Futurama movie, so I can report back if you guys aren’t all the type that will immediately cave and buy anything zombie related. Like, uh, me.

This is the cool stuff that happens when you let copyright expire. Just sayin.

Apparently a movie deal is in the works.

Preordered. Too good an idea to pass up.

A bit more info here.

Is this the end of Zombie Jane Austen?

So this is out now. Anyone read it yet?

My copy was delivered a few days ago but I’m out of town for the rest of the week. Will read when I get home and report back.

A co-worker bought it last week, so I flipped through it. It’s literally a rewrite of Pride & Prejudice (in the sense that it recycles most of the text from Austen’s original) except that every couple of pages or so somebody kills a zombie. It’s not so much a book you read as it is a book you leave laying around your living room for unsuspecting normals to pick up in disbelief.

That said, the illustrations are awesome.

This just arrived here today. Going to surprise my wife with it tonight when she gets home!

It looks like the author already has signed for another book deal.

Will Jefferson Davis be a Vampire Lord?

Speaking of zombies and book deals, Grand Central just snatched the rights to the debut novel by literary sensation George Romero.

The sad thing is, I doubt I could sit through the entire original text even for the sake of added zombies.
