Project Entropia

Found this a bit interesting. I’m not sure I’ve heard of this game yet.

Anyone wanna buy a broadsword?

I have been getting press beta emails from them, but I never really got around to following up, probably because MMOGs aren’t my cup 'o tea.

I think I’d like an MMORPG if it didn’t have a monthly fee. If there were the possibility of actually making money from it…I’m there.

MindArk hasn’t been able to articulate yet just how they are going to handle the problems of duping and exploiting, which pretty much every other persistent world has experienced and which has ruined the economies of those games.

You can expect to hear of some precocious and enterprising young genius (probably 13 years old), who figures out how to duplicate Entropia ‘money’ and cashes it in for real-world bucks. It’ll only take a couple incidents like that to chase the majority of players away.

Everquest meets Ebay.

More like Everquest meets Murph the Surf, :D.
