Managed to one stone Zeus today, I’m pretty happy about it. Especially since it was my first time clear, so I earned the stone back, so I’m net one Zeus.
I used the following Goemon team:
60 Goemon the Thief, skill 1
36 Gigas the Great, max skill
71 Empress of Serpents Echidna, +39, max skill
71 Flame Deity Falcon Horus, skill 1
20 CoC Flame Archer, skill 1
Friend: Max Goemon the thief, max skill, twice awakened, +205
My total HP was 17864, RCV 1740, total red ATK 6368. I focused down the green chimera in round one, then plinked off the other two while healing. On round two masks, I killed the Mystic first (while healing), then focused on the light divine. The two divines were off by one on countdowns, but after the light attacked, I wasn’t able to heal enough before the dark attacked - this is where I spent the stone. Killed off the light with the intention of stalling on the dark to get the Goemon skills up. This was made easier by the fact that during at least one of the dark mask’s turns, he wasted his attack by binding Gigas (because he has light sub-element). Once both Goemons were up, I let him attack one more time to leave me with around 12000 HP then finished him off.
Used Echidna on the demons. Killed off the green one (which can bind red) then let both the remaining demons attack which got me into the Goemon HP sweet spot, then finished them off with a single match.
Rounds four and five were trivial - used one Goemon plus the CoC Archer and both chimeras were one shot. This is where I kept my fingers crossed for no heal orb skyfall combos, and luckily I didn’t get any. The CoC Archer’s buff carries forward to the next round, so on Zeus himself I used the second Goemon plus Horus, and with Archer’s buff still up, Zeus himself was one shot.
Playing a Goemon team is pretty terrifying. There’s so much RNG involved as far as worrying about skyfall healing and difficulty stalling for skills. (I guess this is why having a max skilled Goemon is useful… his default cooldown is 30, but he can be skilled down to 17 turns, though I can’t imagine how many Goemons you need to farm to get that many skillups!) In the end, I’m really happy I got out of it with only one stone, which I got back for completing. And now I have yet another light monster to level up (argh!) though hopefully I’ll be able to make good use of him for twinlits… once he’s evolved and leveled, etc.
