I am LOVING Torchlight 2! It was interesting to hear this discussion you had with Travis Baldtree. I just wish it had been longer.
Interesting. I normally find myself less connected to my characters in rogue-likes/hardcore modes because I know they're going to probably die soon. I look at them like they're disposable. Hardcore mode actually causes less tension for me than a normal character I plan on keeping alive for a long time who I don't want to see their progress interrupted by death penalties.
