Yeah, a score forgotten goes in the books as +1 and -1 for the winner and loser respectively. We don’t often need the point differential tiebreaker, but sometimes we do!

arg - that must have been practically the only way you could have drawn your last hand to finish me off. That’s what I get for only being able to muster 5 of the 8 damage I needed to win on my last turn. Needless to say - I’d have finished the job had I gotten one more chance…

You would have beaten me by 100 if you had one more chance. I had to scrap EVERYTHING in order to get exactly the 25 damage that I needed. Crazy!

Like in my game with Ron, I thought I was way behind right off the bat thanks to your great opening play, but I almost came back, so I’m happy with that! Your final draw was devastating, though. Ouch!

I spent all morning working on my crybaby ‘I’m on a horrible losing streak, everybody hates me, my dog’s fleas have fleas’ post. Then in a span of two minutes I pulled out wins in two games I thought I was sure to lose.

SR3 Playoffs:

This was a fun, fun game. I am on an amazing streak where my opponent gets gifted a Freighter within the 1st 5 turns because it turns up when I buy a card. An early freighter is a game-changer. It gets turned into an early collection of Dreadnought, Command Ship, great bases and so on and I’m faced with a real uphill struggle. Against bobehm’s arsenal I had a couple of 5-point bases and nothing else that cost more than 4 points. But a whole bunch of those were yellow and the rest mostly red. I was really lean at the end and bob had to discard 3 cards / turn (my dream was to get to where all I had left were 5 ‘target opponent discards a card’ and I could just play them every turn…)

Notice the lack of large negative numbers for my opponents. I assume they are as unpleasantly surprised to discover they lost as I was pleasantly amazed to see just enough damage to end the game. JoshL somehow missed the ‘you get a free Freighter and a side of fries’ memo. But he led the whole game until I-have-no-idea-how-that-could-happen somehow happened (a tear in the fabric of space-time, maybe?).

Dave P: Yeah, I finally drew my Brain World. I only had one card in my discard pile – a Blob World. So I trashed it! I knew I was never gonna draw it again anyway.
Ron: I goofed up that last turn. I had to discard 3 cards, and I meant to keep my Battle Station, but I somehow ended up keeping my Scout instead :( I’m not sure if it made the difference between winning and losing, but it was certainly dumb.

3 discards a turn at the end there. Impossible to get lethal if I have to throw away more than half my draw every turn!
