Mithrophon over AnanabTilps +56/-5
As close as it sounds.

pew pew: scott > fire by just 3 points in a desperate struggle

Geez, Scott. That was death by 1000 cuts. Turn before last, it was 3 v 2. What the hell!

pew pew: fire over at muahahaha

pew pew pew! pew! at > scott - but I won’t muahaha - tacky! so tacky!

pew pew: scott > fire in another thriller!

I can’t believe 1st turn Freighter failed me!

pp Ron > at I buried all my power cards way at the bottom of my deck yet you failed to kill me forcing me to spend time here writing a run-on sentence in order to report the result whilst I await my demise at the hands of all the others more eager than you to feast upon my total lack of start realms skill.

‘Whilst’, old boy? I say!

:D :D

I only have six cards left in my deck vs Mithrophon, and it’s 19-19.

pew pew: scott > Mithropon

Well, unless you banished the expensive ones, I’d say that’s more than enough.

That was nutso. And you really hung in there with your ragtag collection of misfits!

pew pew at > mith

I’m done with pew pew except for my game with kl3mnop, cuz I don’t think I’d be able to finish any more games by tomorrow.

Klem will tell you, I’m all about ragtag collections of misfits in this game. I think many of the high cost cards are overvalued given how deck rotations work. But, I certainly lose enough to prove my theory wrong!

Kl3mnop > ron

I like that. I’ve tried it myself but I can’t do it well. When we’re getting tired of Star Realms, I’d love to talk strategy with you all.

Generally, two low-cost cards synergized together > than one powerful card that equals the combined price of the little guys. And with a deck full of low-cost misfits, the % of your total cards that are scouts/vipers decreases, even without draw/banish power. You end up “lucking” into much better hands than you’d expect given what you bought, plus it really annoys the other player to lose with a “better” deck.

Just a theory based on a month’s worth of play. I may abandon it if I start losing more; your mileage may vary.

I like the cut of your jib.

peepee: Ron > Mithrophon Your theory won, even if you didn’t. Biggest cards in play were 5-pointers, you had 2 of them but I had only 1 - so I won.
