No worries. I played an extra 4-5 cards past victory conditions against Fletch for just the same purpose. In a regular game I’d have just ended it at the minimum. (Unless it had been Mithrophon…then I pile on to maximum effect!)

I pondered the Stealth Needle vs Patrol Mech for like, a day, on turn one. Damn it! Forgive me, Stealth Needle!!

I think Patrol Mech has more value on turn one because of the 3 runes you get next time around. Stealth Needle is a glorified scout for the first third of the game, at least. I’d have taken the Mech too.

That said, late-game Needle is a killer.
