I’ve gotten challenges from Jay Gittings (not in my group) and fire (who already beat me). I dunno if you guys intended those to be non-league games, or just got confused, but I refused them – nothing personal, just got my hands full with the league already!

Whaddya know - I just accepted jaygitting’s challenge assuming it was a league game, but I’m not in his group either. No worries, now I can use my start as a lesson to myself about the bad things that happen when you give in to the temptation to buy too many early economy cards instead of damage cards - and it won’t even cost me a league loss. Cool.

This morning I defeated Brakara in Turn 21 but I have no idea whether or which league game that was. It’s not SR7 (because we’re in different brackets) and it can’t be SR6:playoffs (because Brakara reported a win). MYSTERY

Me: Self, we have 9 Spacebux and 5 different bases to choose from. I say we buy the Fleet HQ. It’s wicked powerful. Sometimes.
Self: But, but, what if the next card is really cool - like, say, the Stealth Needle. We should buy the Defense Center, and have enough left to buy the Stealth Needle if it appears.
Me: Nah. There’s only one Stealth Needle in the galaxy - the odds that it appears next are astronomically small. We’re buying the Fleet HQ, dammit.

Scene: Star Realms Used Ships, Bases and Outposts - Cheap!
Action: Stealth Needle slides silently into position in the Trade Row
