Under devastating pressure ;) i lapped the field with a couple of precision leaps with all the derring do I could muster.

If I remember right I head remembered wrongly and started that game even though 12 v 22 was already done. I thought that was why you managed all those successful jumps - it only happens when your (inexplicably still) adoring fans have gone home.

Me: Self, we have 9 Spacebux and 5 different bases to choose from. I say we buy the Fleet HQ. It’s wicked powerful. Sometimes.
Self: But, but, what if the next card is really cool - like, say, the Stealth Needle. We should buy the Defense Center, and have enough left to buy the Stealth Needle if it appears.
Me: Nah. There’s only one Stealth Needle in the galaxy - the odds that it appears next are astronomically small. We’re buying the Fleet HQ, dammit.

Scene: Star Realms Used Ships, Bases and Outposts - Cheap!
Action: Stealth Needle slides silently into position in the Trade Row

I had no opportunity for such an interesting turn what with just drawing 4 Scouts and 1 Viper.

Hey folks, I am new in this forum (guess my first post). Maybe some of you know me from movies like “your epic fail in the star reamls: qt3 vs pocket tactics tournament” ;)
So sry if this is the wrong spot to apply for the star realms leaguelet, but I give it a shot. Whenever a new season starts I would love to join, and be the sacrificial lamb for your anger. :)

Shame, as that was both just what you needed to buy the Needle plus it left all of your non-starter cards for next turn (22 damage worth). Meanwhile, I sit here with 10 authority remaining yet still buying explorers because there are never any damn ships in the trade row when it’s my turn.

Ahem - sorry about the ranting. One of the more frustrating games ever.

I started the race because the it was shown as not started in your table at that time. Which means that I should have let you know - apologies - so in the event you were both wrong and uninformed! But the reason for your wrongness was most likely beyond your self-control. Or something.

Anyway, moving swiftly on, as we started the race delirium pointed out that we were repeating ourselves. The original result was clyve > robthomasson > delirium > Zebracadabra. The track was Beachcomber - it’s still in my completed games list.
