So much for you having cornered the market on some groundbreaking strategy. I’m pretty disappointed in your efforts, especially when some no-nothing like Holsten-Knight waltzes into your bracket and dominates.
Perhaps you should just stick to Ascension? (Oh, yeah, that’s right, you couldn’t even make the November playoffs over there either. Talk about a flash in the pan!)
Yeah, my first month of playing Star Realms was definitely way better than my second month. I don’t think learning more about the game has made me smarter; if anything, I’m probably getting too cute with strategies I’m trying out.

And look, not only were wounds 9-9, but the KIND of wounds (used as a tiebreaker) were 4-3-2 for both of us. I don’t even know how the game broke the tie!
omg it’s the player who went LAST who breaks the tie! WE WENT THERE.
I also felt I mastered the game after 1 month of playing, with a win:loss ratio of about 75%.
After 2 months I witnessed my win:loss ratio even went below 50% for a period of time, and I felt like a bloody noob…
Today (after 4-5 months of playing SR) I sometimes still have the feeling I was best in the beginning, but to be honest SR has a huge luck component.
But playing ascension with the last 2 expansions lately made me appreciate SR again. ;)
