Speaking as backgammom player: the ‘luck factor’ is too high, but we can’t forget the game is in the early stages, I think the developers use the games currently played to balance the stats.

In the new version there will be some improvements about this, in detail a teleport spell and new terrain (and some more) we will see.

I enjoy it. The luck is mitigated by stuff like burning cards for mana and summoning fake creatures.

You’re never going to escape from the luck factor, just like any game that involves dice, but influencing both luck and the outcome of that luck will become more interesting as a greater number of spells and other mechanics (eg. other staffs) are added.

Speaking of which, we should be getting a new patch in the next day or so… possibly even today, which will introduce more creatures, spells, staffs etc. The Crusader sounds like it could be a game changer for undead, we’ll see.

The ‘luck factor’ is the funny thing but in my opinion is too high, for example it can be mitigated giving 2 hit points to mage.
Anyway i like this game.
