I did that in my game with Dave. Round 1: using red starter on red starter. Maybe I’m nubby, but it actually seemed like a net win for me, because I got my other cards out sooner. Also because I kicked Dave’s butt in the end.

Like I said, that’s my nemesis map. I’ve never beaten anyone on that map yet. The failure to cast my manticore was my death knell.

Hmm. The endzone line was still Dave’s team colour. So I guess sharaleo was still seen to be on defence. Whether that is correct or not I don’t know. The game pauses at an interception, or when the opposing team gain possession by picking up a grounded ball, and offence & defence swap during that pause. So this wasn’t detected as an interception or changeover because it was too cheeky. Really just thinking aloud as I increase my understanding of the game.

Dave - Earlier on in our Steam chat I said that the game seemed to do stuff for me (when versus the AI) and I wondered if it was because I played my first game on easy. Now I wonder if it is because my orders ran out before the end of the turn. Specifically my orders for my ball carrier stopped at a score point, but other players still had distance to go. My ball carrier hit the score point and then headed for the endzone of its own volition. I dunno - still trying to grasp all the determinants for when a turn ends. I know it’s variable. Best learn on the job.

I’m not positive what effects you are seeing. I can only say that the game has faithfully done everything that I’ve programmed it to do, and I’ve seen nothing strange.

I think the rules disallow the ball carrier from stopping once you decide to run. If the carrier runs out of orders he’ll continue heading straight towards the goal zone. This should happen in the preview as well.

P.S. I’m open for Frozen Cortex challenges, having just purchased the game. I’m registered as “shang” in the game.

I figured the runner running out of orders triggered a turn end?

So far I have seen a few inconsistencies in preview vs the actual turn. I can let it off for the moment, as it may be my misinterpretation of one or the other, or my inaccurate use of the tools at hand.

Thanks for the rematch. I’ve been on a losing streak and I completely blew my last turn on this one. I had a teleportation spell, but failed to notice it. That isn’t to take away from the bold and brilliant move you made to put me in that position.
