If we leave the password off of our Chaos games, what are the chances that random people will join them? Are the open games published in a list somewhere, or would people have to guess our 6 digit numbers?

I only ask because private games can’t be spectated.

I think that … if we create Private Games with no password then the chance of someone wanting to join a Private Game and then typing in random Game Ids is rare. But if the game is not Private then it is (d’oh) available for all to join.

I tried to Spectate one of my own games and I got the “Unknown Game Id” message just as when i tried to snoop your game against delirium. Frustrating - I would like to spectate some Qt3 games - especially those for which a tale of valour and/or outrageous fortune is reported here.

Delirium had me on the ropes due to good play, but I was able to get a lucky skeleton kill in on his elephant mount… and then it was really just a case of hoping the RNG reversed its trend of screwing me for almost the entire game. It did.

You can definitely spectate private games, as long as one player is actually online in that game at the time. So live games are easy, but async games mean you have to be lucky. When competitions are run, the game IDs are given out so anyone can spectate. Works fine. I’ve watched a couple of your async games play out because a move was being played when I checked spectate.
