Ah, I think I know what’s happened. You’ve joined an async friendly game (which doesn’t need a password) and we’re trying to join private game, which expects a password. I think the only way to join that, then, is to join a friendly async 4-way game using that particular menu option. I hope they tidy all this up before release!
Aaaand… that didn’t work. I now have created a new 4-player async game with nobody currently in it! I’ll raise this issue on the forums.

A pegasus hoof to the face! Amazingly lucky, given it was a 7% chance of success! Had it failed, I was then going to magic sword you with my wiz which had a much higher chance of success, then go you with my other pegasus too, giving me a backup against your likely effective counterattack. Oh, and there was the giant that was about to be cast next to you.
But no, pegasus is all “screw that, watch this”.

I logged in to check the progress of that game. “Where is it?”, I thought, scanning the active game list. In the game finished list, that’s where.

I’ve had numerous phone conversations with people while in a similar position. They never knew. I think I mentioned it once to someone, they presumed I was joking.
Unlike, say, dropping the kids off at the pool, I think mentioning you were sitting on a croc would be an awesome thing to say on a phone call. “Gotta run, this croc ain’t gonna ride itself back to the river!”
It was more a case of “Could you do this now, I’m really in a rush” “Well I’d love to, but I’m a bit tied up right now” “Really, are you away from your laptop?” “Yes, you could say that” (hissing and struggling noise) “Ok, what’s going on?” “I’m sitting on a crocodile and about to take a blood sample from it, but it’s getting pissed off because I’m talking on the phone to you” “You’re what? Oh… er… ok. Well, if you can get it to me as soon as you’ve… finished, that would be great.”
Dangit, I haven’t seen this result yet! I was doing so well at the beginning I thought. Rematch excepted!

That was an awesome game. Dragons everywhere, massive spells that were actually effective at killing the enemy. Too bad you didn’t have VPs on because you both would have really racked them up.
Gah, I was all decked out, with higher ground and still an arrow sneaks through. I guess I should have just charged in. Good game. Rematch accepted.
