And my Krok curse may be (semi) lifting. Just managed to sneak an elf shot in to knock him out of our 2v2.
What the what? checks I guess you did have LoS from there after all.
I wouldn’t have thought so either if your wizard hadn’t lit up when I selected the elf. I’m still trying to get a handle on the LoS system.
It’s explained pretty well in the Game Guide, and there’s no doubt your elf had LoS from that hex according to the rules. The higher hex in the way wasn’t enough to block the elf’s height advantage, and I paid the price for not paying enough attention. Well played. :)

I fumbled my way to victory courtesy of a Vestige of Vampires supported by a Hark of Hellhounds. Thanks to krayzkrok for the tuition during the game.
It seemed that replays stopped working at some point and the move log would often (always?) be blank. My experience from the game is not showing up either. I guess the system is in transition - so just wait.
Do you mean a Scourge of Vampires, plus two hellhound spells, or were you using talismans or something?
I was thinking “What?! I was completely safe from a wizard attack!” but then I noticed in the replay (which is working for me) that I’d completely forgotten to move my goblin between my wizard and your hellhound at the end of my turn (to stop you from doing what you just did). D’oh! The only chance I had against your undead army was to play for a drawn VP win, and the only way I had of killing your undead was with my wizard - a risky strategy. I was pretty much helpless otherwise, other than the mass subversion (I didn’t quite have enough mana to cast it a second time, even if i had burned everything). GG!
Actually I forgot, I had a raise dead spell, but you refused to kill any creature powerful enough for it to make a difference.

I don’t have any talismans - I was just using made up collective nouns for no good reason. After you said replays were working for you I experimented on our 2v2 game and I think that I was interrupting replays by clicking to move my view to see the action. If I use keys to move the camera then the replay continues. Also, I do then see the “battle event messages” as they happen but they are not available to review once it is my turn. Plus I remember now that private games do not (currently?) award gold or xp.
Was your Paladin (which I assume killed one of my vampires) a spell that you gained by play? Or some special ability? But yes - I was lucky! I had to throw in my last two spells and dispel one creature to get my second Scourge of Vampires - but it seemed like the only hope.
Edit: Now I have no time left to take my move in our 2v2. I will get to it in about 6 hours.
