Sorry Lykurgos, like Thraeg said, all our games have the qt3 password. I just tried to join 199125, but got an Unknown game ID/password error.
Either it’s filled up, or CR is acting a little buggy again. We had a number of games early this patch that didn’t work. I’ve tried setting up another 4 player game.

This game went back and forth and came down to the final turn. Belouski had the early pressure, but after a lull in the middle when his wizard was blobbed and mine was hiding in trees from his eagle, I was able to get an edge in summons and start chasing him back across the map. It came down to a last stand of his wizard in a corner guarded by two giants and a dwarf, while my pair of hydras, spider, and manticore closed in. After killing one of the hydras, he went into turn 20 with a narrow edge on points, but the paladin came up big with a 33% kill on the last giant, letting my last hydra move in for the kill.
I have been playing - but I guess not at the rate that most of you have. Less time at the PC recently - plus I tend to do the games that prompt me before those that don’t. But I like the game and if you are okay with a slower player in your mix then that’s me … in Classic …

And yeah, Rob, the lack of notifications or direct challenges is certainly annoying, and I wish they’d make some time for that sort of simple quality-of-life feature before all these new systems. I feel like CR is a game I could be playing for a very long time, and possibly worth following Star Realms by graduating to its own thread, but not until that’s ironed out.

The Order of Radiance successfully repulsed a demonic attack on the Junction Inn. It was the first match for both of us and we were unsure of the proper protocols or tactics, but longbow fire slew a Gloom Imp, a Cerber, and an Arachne before the demons could even close to melee range, and the rest of the invasion force resigned in disgust.

A gutsy last round attack with his manticore-riding wiz ended in disaster as my likewise mounted wiz dispatched both in short order. In the background were writhing masses of hydras, giants and vampires. A game like this makes me wonder if 25 rounds may be better with Classic mode. It would have been nice to see the titans battle it out over a couple more turns.

If you had a Magic Bolt, you could have dispelled the rats, grabbed the mana and blasted me. I thought that’s what you were going to do, right after I moved on the first turn and I was kicking myself for walking into a trap.

Yeah, I should’ve rethought my strategy after my giant failed to kill your manticore. I was worried that I was running out of time since I only had a hellhound to counter your two vampires. In hindsight, I should’ve just tried to run the clock down and gone for victory points.
I’ve joined 199778 and the 4-way so we’re waiting on one more there.
Not to mention, the vamps would have had little to no success trying to bit a giant, let alone a hydra. On the other hand, the bold take their fate into their own hands.

Controlling the center ridge of the arena with numerical odds and an insurmountable VP lead, Gruntled headed in for a desperate assassination attempt. Unfotrunately, his pegasus was unable to keep him out of the hungry maws of my undead.
