Can you hide behind another ‘2’, or only behind something bigger than yourself? Does terrain height interact with creature size (you can hide behind a rat if the other guy is shooting up from below, but your not hidden by a “3” if being shot at from above)?

Yes, you can hide behind something of the same height. I forget all the subtleties, but there’s actually a pretty good explanation complete with diagrams in the game itself if you click on the “Game Guide” button in the lower right.

I apparently need a more chaotic game to have a chance against Thraeg. This one went back and forth, but I had the numbers and was able to press my advantage after slaying his blood-amplified vampire and his reanimated manticore mount.
I think both Thraeg and ron were thinking about taking a break from CR, but I made two games just in case

Well played. And yeah, I think I’m going to take a break for a while. As much as I like the game, I really miss the asymmetric staff mode, and the lack of notifications makes it a bit of a drag to keep up with ongoing matches. I’ll definitely be back once development gets a little farther along though.

I’m not posting the Excel spreadsheet stuff that I usually do, because I get the feeling that people trust me. Although I did screw up the Lost Cities playoffs in May, leaving TheDukester out in the cold! Anyhow, if you want to know your final standings in a leaguelet, let me know, and I’ll post it.

The only games that have enough of a following appear to be Chaos Reborn and Capitals. I think that it might be a good idea to let the other games go, and not feel compelled to report our wins and losses unless there’s a surge of interest for some reason. You’re all welcome to report if you’d like, just for the cameraderie.

We do have four people actively playing BA. The games take a while, but there should be some more results coming in soon. I’d still recommend it if anyone is considering picking up a new game.
And I’m still up for joining in just about anything that’s not exclusive to iOS that we can find critical mass for. In addition to the games I mentioned last time around, I’ll also throw out Wars & Battles as a possibility. It’s $6.99 on both iPad and Android tablets, and Pocket Tactics gave it 5 stars.
Agreed, Thraeg, I’m sure at least the four of us will be playing Battle Academy for July, if not longer! Let’s keep reporting results for it just in case.
As for the hodgepodge of board games like Agricola and Carcassonne and Lords of Waterdeep and so on, I’d like to come up with some way to reward people for playing and reporting, but I think it’ll require tossing everyone playing these games into one pool, and then modifying the Qt3 Pew Pew Protocol to adjust for however that goes.
