Carcassonne July / August
Beatrix 110 > Jaygittings 83
Ok, ty. We will decide at the tornament end how to handle this kind of exceptions.
I knew that. Pity I lost, but then - what did I expect?
I made my comment because both you and prolix beat me but did not report that (yet) here, so it looked like I was doing better than reality in the summary table. I am not used to doing better than reality!
I thought that you won after me thinking the whole game that I was gonna win. Did you screenshot the ending?
Carcassone July/August:
Jay > Dukester: 117-75. Won a war far farms using three meeples that got decided on the penultimate turn. GG.
Carcassonne: Dave 122, Beatrix 86
But his incomplete city with a cathedral in it scored 13 points, so what’s up with the rules on this! If Joe’s incomplete city with a cathedral in it scores, then he will probably win.
Anyone understand the rule? I thought that a cathedral in an incomplete city caused the whole city to score zero.
AFAIK we are playing whitout cathedrals.
What’s the city piece that completely fills its tile, then? I thought that it was a cathedral.
Joe got 25 for that city, so I must be wrong…
My farmers carried the day nevertheless!
Dave 111, Joe 72
I have an X for this game in the grid. I assume X means a loss?
I sent jay an invite a week ago for the Carc tourney, but no accept yet.
Why you so hateful, jay! Sent a Slack note…
Also sent final invite to prolix!
It really is fun to have someone run a league. :D
There are tiles that are all city - and nothing but the city - that are cathedrals and tiles that are all city that are not cathedrals.
When you play with Traders & Builders you see that the graphic on the cathedral is larger than the graphic on the ordinary city tile - but just looking at one tile tells you nothing.
Here’s the screenshot of the rules for the basic game, the city will score, just with less points per tile.
It’s the Inns & Cathedrals expansion that introduces that rule.
Dave. I accepted when you sent it and it is telling me to sit back and relax. So I did:)
Thanks guys and sorry jay! :)
Okay, all of my games are under way.
X (marked) is for win O (empty) is for loss, if you are more confortable I can change both, anyway you can see your wins in the wins column
I’ve always done it the opposite way, and can you believe that I never even thought to look at the number of wins column? Carry on, you crazy Italian with your strange ways!
… after the ‘7th guest’ ? … i’m expecting everything from you today ;)
:P
Also, Carcassonne: Dave 100, Rob 80 because Rob says it went this way, although I swear that he won that game! My whole memory insists on it. But who am I to rebuff Rob’s chivalry?
Carcassonne July/August: jay > prolix 109-108. So close and exciting! GG.
