Yeah, the dumb part - if this story is true, which I believe it is based on past idiocy - is that the show producers/director just banked on Boseman winning and built the show around that assumed outcome.
Boseman was like +2000 to +3000 odds depending on which Vegas book you used for the Oscars, and that’s BEFORE anyone knew that the order of the awards had been changed.
