The first season of the Quarter to Three Dice Block Blood Bowl League has begun! Time to show off your blood bowl skills by dancing away with that ball for the touchdown, or smashing your opponent’s spines like twigs!

Alright Blood Bowl fans, it’s time to see who’s the cream of the crop! It’s the final match!

At this point players should be sending PM’s to their opponents to arrange games for this week, working out times to play, and getting your matches in.

For those new to finding their way around the Blood Bowl online interface it can be challenging. If you log in to the internet leagues system, click the Play button at the top right. If you click your team you will see the league matchups for the week. All you need to do to play is click the Play Match button when your opponent is also online. The top left most drop down will let you select a league-only chat area so you can get in touch with people to talk prior to playing without all of the normal clutter of public chat.

Once you’ve finished your game, please send me a PM here so that I can log in to validate the match. If any issues arise I would appreciate if all players involved could PM me so that we can work out the most fair and appropriate solution.

If you’re having trouble getting your opponent for the week to respond, send me a PM and I will contact them. If I feel that someone is not making a reasonable effort to get their game played, I will award a win to their opponent. I’m pretty laid back though, so as long as people can get things sorted out we shouldn’t have any issues.

League Rules:

Participating teams must consist of entirely new teams with no SPP on any players, and a team rating of 1000 or less. No exceptions.

We will be playing one game per week with an exception of allowing an extra real life week to get your game in over the winter holidays. Leagues will advance to the next week each Monday, generally in the late morning or early afternoon. The league will not advance the week of December 27th.

We are sticking to the basic rulebook formats as much as possible. Google LRB6 if you need a copy of the blood bowl rules in their entirety.

We are running a single round robin split into two divisions. We have had 16 players sign up, so each player will play 7 games with people in their own division. After this, the top ranked 8 players will play in a single elimination tournament to determine the winner. Prizes are 150000 and 75000 gold respectively for first and second place. This will result in the league taking 10 game weeks and 11 real life weeks, ending in mid february (and a bit earlier for all but the top two teams). Pending the success of this league another will start shortly following it.

Each week the first post of this thread will be updated with matchups, including team name and QT3 member name, so that players can arrange their matches.

Any questions can be directed to me in this thread or via PM.

Had to change my team name because someone already uses “Something Wicked”.

I applied to the league instead with my Necro team, “Some Things Wicked”.

drteeth has applied with the Orc Green Crushas. Green Crush, my vanilla online orc team has somehow been taken from me. Well to be fair they only ever played one game online and were thoroughly stomped by RyanA’s human team. Anyways, Green Crush rides again and hopefully I’ve learned something other than bad habits with all of my offline play.

What’s this about pre-season games? Is that an option in the league or something? I wouldn’t mind getting a few practice games in with no consequences.

Also I’m probably going to be near last submitting as I can’t remember what races are already taken :)

You can’t play any games with your team before the league starts. That said, there’s nothing stopping you from making another team and playing a couple of practice games with that.

Wha…? You can make custom names for your players? Drat, I didn’t know that.

Yeah, half the fun of making a team is coming up with player names. Click “Player Detail” before purchasing a player, and you can customize their appearance and name (although some character appearances are non-customizable, like Werewolves).

Actually you can do it after purchasing a player too, by double clicking on them, but you can’t change anything about them after they’ve played in a match.

It’s not letting me change anything about them now, but I don’t care that much.

JMJ, you can delete the team and re-make it if you like. Maybe you can only edit them until you save the team.

I’ve applied with the Kachitan Runaways, an Amazon team. I don’t think they got the memo about this being a full contact sport…

And you’re right, it only lets you edit the player details if you haven’t saved the team yet.

It’s great fun making themed teams, but when you customise teams you can also choose which bodies + skins they get, which can help you ingame. Worth doing.

I love making silly themed teams. My Lizardmen “Icke was Right” was a popular side - each player being a world leader. I’ve made a Dark Elf side called “Pretty Hate Machines” named after various NiN songs, and I’m absolutely positive that naming players “The Fragile” and “The Frail” is a terrible idea.
