I’m so excited I’m vibrating.

Edit: and peeing a little.

I might pick it up during a Steam sale for $1 or so.

Might.

Wow, that was a loooong delay to start releasing DLC. Man, this game just can’t win…

And they still have to release the multiple times delayed SDK…

People on the intarwebs are actually excited about this DLC and are looking to buy it on day one.

Wasn’t Rage a failure? I have the game and I think it is a failure.

Wtf would anyone go nuts over the DLC?

In other news isn’t Id software a failure? remember when gaben was the underdog and had to lease the engine from I’d for half life? My how the tables have turned by bad business decisions… I guess Todd hollenshed is to blame for Id’s failure.

People like different things. The Internet allows people with niche opinions to find others like them and form small communities.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Being honest, looking at the screenshots of the DLC it looks fun. Maybe in the next Steam sale when it’s 50% off…

Turin, we need to get you a new phrase. :) In English it’s usually said “To be honest” or “Honestly”. It doesn’t make exact grammatical sense, so it’s just a phrase.

See, you should correct me more often, or I won’t improve my English!

Looks pretty fab - if it’s basically more shooty levels, that’s what the game needed. Certainly worth $5.

It still gets a big ol’ MEH from me.

On the other hand, I wonder if it will include any wide open outdoor areas. Looking at the graphics outside was half the fun. I liked the shooting too. But I’ll probably skip it if it’s just one town and a few dungeons.

I think you were near unique in liking the outdoor aspects :) Everyone else liked the corridors of mutants.

I’ll buy it next week!

Rage was a bog standard shooter, but looked great, and sported comfortable id physics and solid weapons.

I’d like to see a lot more out of id (please lose Willits as design lead), but 5 bucks for a couple of hours of solid shooting works for me.

That’s crazy that they waited a year to release the first DLC. I don’t think they understand how to make money.

Ding ding ding!

He happened to be the lead creative designer of Doom 3 and Rage, I don’t think it’s coincidence. Maybe he is good as level designer, which is how he started, but they need someone else as pure designer.

That’s crazy that they waited a year to release the first DLC. I don’t think they understand how to make money.

They also needed 6 years to develop Rage, so somehow it matches their slow development speed!

I might have been mildly interested in trying this if Borderlands 2 and all its DLC hadn’t come out.

I can’t tell, but it seems I can’t access the DLC until the game is completed.

That would be fine, since I finished Rage, but… ugh. Apparently Rage puts it saves in C:\Users\username\Saved Games instead of in the Documents folder.

So I lost mine when I formatted my C: drive and installed Windows 8.

Blarg.

Anyone have a completed Rage Saved Game folder they want to zip up and give me via Dropbox or the like?

first time actually using drop box, so i hope i did this right!

My last saves are in there from my finished game, my last auto save , and my last quick save. I don’t recall much of where or what was going on when I last played. But I know I finished the game, and all the co-op missions.
