Multiplayer shooters with story elements that don’t really match the fact that people are getting shot or blown up isn’t a new thing…
That was a pretty cool video. Looked expensive, especially considering the game came out in 2015.
Depicting a tournament where non-lethal rounds are being fired point blank and with no eye protection made me cringe a little. I’ll file it under the “Heroes Don’t Wear Helmets” trope, but in the real world even blanks can be deadly.
Siege has probably made more money in the last year than a lot of new games. It’s actually gaining popularity. I don’t think that video is supposed to be canon. It’s an in universe representation of how big the Six Invitational tournament is for the pro league.
