I’m very confused, but if I keep being agreeable in hoping things will resolve themselves.

The only thing I ever did all nighters on were term papers because I procrastinated as well as other things (like being a bit of a dim bulb).
Exams however, after a certain point, studying seemed futile. I usually would study 3 hours the night before if I could (generally 2-2 1/2 hours taking into account breaks) and then study about an hour right before the exam if possible. It was pretty weird how generally almost every exam I’ve taken had a few questions I would have gotten wrong if I hadn’t had that review the hour or so before.

The new house has a fireplace. It’s finally starting to get chilly at night around here.
I’d forgotten just how awesome a wood fire is, especially when you can curl up next to it in a comfortable chair with a book and a drink.

Testify. We try and hold out for as long as possible before we light one; it’s the last nail in the coffin of sunny days. We haven’t had one yet, but we will by halloween, methinks.

We got our first frost warning last night, so we figured it was time.
Of course, my friends in upstate New York have already gotten a couple of hard frosts.
Since when was there a Real Name field in the sidebar?

Is the Inception soundtrack maybe the best soundtrack in the world?
I finally got my hands on it, and it’s an extraordinary work.

Three year olds throwing temper tantrums and then peeing on themselves is proof once again that my decision to not have kids was a sound one (for me).
Every night is a miserable attempt at cocooning in as many blankets as possible before twilight sets in> If you’re caught outdoors the moisture in your lungs will freeze and you’ll die of suffocation from within.

FUCK, fuck… FUCK! I hate this hippie fucking bullshit being passed off as required (college level, and exceedingly expensive) edu-fucking-cation.
DEAR HEALTH TEACHER, YOU CAN NOT FUCKING CURE CANCER WITH HAPPY FUCKING THOUGHTS, OR YOUR SIX MAGICAL GNOME PROPERTIES OF PROPER WELLNESS. Stop testing me on this fucking bullshit, and get off the Kevin fucking Trudeau bandwagon. God damnit this horse shit pisses me off.
My house runs on a oil furnace and so far no-one has taken the initiative to even set up an account with an oil company, and the tank has been empty since we moved in. I’m up to 3 blankets, and I dread rolling out of bed each morning and walking to school just because of how goddamn cold it is.

Are you guys all stuck in a passive aggressive stalemate or something, or just typical lazy bachelors?
I guess I can understand the issue if no agreement was ever reached about splitting the costs, and when those costs would be conveniently incurred and what not, but shit, Canada isn’t a third world country any more.

Why do you have to take health? What horrible state do you live in?
Not knowing Staff’s Situation, mine is because our thermostat has two settings; off and 85 degrees.

Mine might as well have three settings, off: the place I like to keep it, the place my wife likes to keep it.
Only two of them ever get used.

Oregon. If this wasn’t required I wouldn’t be throwing away money on it. I wanted in on the OSHA class, but the schedule didn’t work for me. I was expecting to at least see videos of exciting forklift accidents and stuff in that one.
I have to take a foreign language too (which was a standard in California too), which I’m not thrilled about (I’m lazy and it sounds like a lot of work). I’m considering Hindi, since I’ll need to be able to communicate with the outsourced worker drones of the future I’ll most likely be working with. Spanish would appeal to me, but I don’t like all the bullshit about formal and informal language, and the gender specific crap. It’s a terrible language.

Unless it’s changed in the past 4 years and if your undergraduate major is CS or Engineering, UC Davis didn’t require a foreign language for transferring or graduation. Actually the major requirements were so tight, that when I was transferring advisers actively told me not to waste my time anything not directly related and not to get an AA or AS.
Bummer to hear about that in Oregon. :( Though you may want to double check your exact requirements for your major and transfer eligibility just in case. You’re going into CS right?
Edit: It’s kind of foggy, but I believe I needed english composition classes… but the total non-math or science courses UCD required was only a handful.
