I’ve got a great idea for a detective/cop show set in the Florida keys called ‘Conch Justice’ starring a ragged Mark Ruffalo and co-starring island kingpin John Leguizamo as “El Gallo”.

Do you have a ghost radio from the 80s?

I saw Tesla open for Def Leppard in 1987, and they were unexpectedly great. They didn’t get much PA power or light show support, but they rocked out and won over the crowd. That dude had a great rock voice.

Phew, glad it is not only me :)
Signs, No Way Out…all good.

Signs gets played too much though. It’s at the point that it’s probably my least favorite song on the station, largely because they’ve overdone it.

Taco Bell’s XXL Chalupa is really really good.

I wonder if the lyrics will change since Mandlebrot is no longer teaching classes at Yale.

I’ve been looking for an inexpensive, no hassle, no obligation fitness club in my area (like month to month or something)… I guess I’ve been out of the fitness loop for a while, because such a thing no longer seems to exist. Even the local YMCA charges almost $60/month for membership (plus $60 sign up fee).
It’s as if I’m gonna have to… buy my own equipment and/or exercise in parks and shit… eeww
Hey, man, they still play “Signs” fairly often on the classic rock station here.

The YMCA is probably one of the more expensive clubs, so that’s not a great example. Snap Fitness, for example, is open 24 hours and is $35/mo., but there are even cheaper ones than that. Of course, it all depends what’s available where you live.

Follow up with local community centers. A lot of municipalities are offering month-to-month for their facilities and many have top of the line gym equipment.
But at Snap Fitness, can you get yourself clean and have a good meal?

I have a YMCA membership, and while you can get yourself clean, you can have vending machine food. I can’t really answer that question authoritatively, however, although he said he likes to shit in parks so I’m not sure if cleanliness is an issue.

I only mentioned the YMCA because I thought that stuff was free. I’ve never really been to one before, but today I was at their website, and it wasn’t really what I expected.
Also, yea we had a community center I used to frequent in Norwalk, CA where I grew up. It had a full gym, for like $5 a year, so I looked for a similar thing around here, I’m not finding anything just yet. Norwalk had gang problems in certain areas, and alot of the drive behind those centers were to help keep kids ‘off the street’ so to speak. This part of Oregon… not so much.
The only reason I really want a gym type thing is that outdoor exercise sucks here when it’s raining like 6-8 months straight every year.
Really? It looks like a boat of Taco Bell taco meat. Which isn’t my preferred boat contents. Or method of taco meat delivery.
The McRib is back again and this time it’s finally in New England and holy cats is it every bit as delicious as I remember from my youth.
