My walk to work in the morning, at 9am, is in the pitch black on a path through a forest. This morning, there was a perfect full yellow moon surrounded by clouds on the horizon and a nice wind rustling the trees. I felt like a character in a fairy tale who is about to meet his untimely demise. I think I might understand why they have so many stories about trolls and elves here.

While driving down the highway last Friday, I passed a furniture store that had a scaffolding in pieces along the side. It was built in such a way that it made perfect steps heading up at a 30-degree angle toward the roof. It is the first time I have ever seen a building with the Assassin’s Creed ramp.

Unfortunately, the rest of Overland Park is severely lacking when it comes to tall buildings, hay bales, and Borgia messengers.

I would like to watch a detective show where every single week, our heroes get it wrong. Arrest the wrong guy, fail to crack the case, etc. Bonus points for structuring some of the episodes so that the audience (but not the detectives) can figure out the actual perpetrator.
