Fucking bronchitis went near-pneumoniac on me and now not even the antibiotics are keeping the phlegm entirely at bay. I feel like a tubercular cripple. THIS FUCKING SUCKS.

Isn’t this mainly caused by viral rather than bacterial infections? Antibiotics wouldn’t help if so. Just saying 'cause I have chronic bronchitis.

I had productive cough for two weeks straight, no other symptoms. That was viral bronchitis. But on Monday night when I suddenly got a fever that spiked from 100.3 deg F to 103.8 in two hours? With suddenly much more, and nastier, phlegm? And the doctor said he heard some pneumonia-like lung sounds the next day? That’s bacterial right there.

The antibiotics at least got rid of the fever, but the coughing and bronchitis are still present, and sick of it I am, SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED.

I hear ya, man. I just got over(well, mostly over) a bacterial infection of the throat that had me coughing up copious quantities of icky brownish-yellow pus/phlegm/whichever and a temperature of… jesus, I don’t know your crazy moon measurements… well over 39°C. In combination with my other, ongoing issues the last week and a half has been significantly less than fun.

This reminds me of a political science professor I had in college, who was widely feared because of his grading philosophy – rather than starting at 100 and marking off for incorrect responses, he started at zero and marked you up for correct answers. Which of course makes no difference at all on multiple choice quizzes, but his essay questions could be beastly.

I had a professor who had the most bizarre grading scheme. EVERYONE had to “participate” in class, every class. Which means they had to raise their hand and ask a question. But with 150 people for a 2 hour lecture it was just ridiculous. He would never actually be able to get his lecture across because everyone would be asking nonsense questions just to get their grade. I ended up dropping the class and took something else to fulfill that requirement. I don’t know what he was thinking. One of my friends said that he amended his rules a little bit, but that most everyone came out of the class with way lower grades then they should have.

Aww, I opted for two-day shipping on my Amazon order, and while it arrived at the processing center just a few miles away this morning, as of noon its delivery has been delayed “due to weather or natural disaster.”

What weather or natural disaster? It’s just cold! If it had arrived Wednesday, I’d understand… Unless they’re just backed up from the snowstorm.

Keiran Thackeray, the guy who was wooing Gwen in the mini-story arc they started up a couple of years back (has it really been two years?).

I’m digging the changes they’ve made for the War in Kryta. They’ve added new White Mantle mobs to all the Kryta areas, and some of them are actually dangerous. Since when have White Mantle savants had Meteor Shower, and since when do they resurrect?! I’m just glad I got my Vanquisher title before they showed up.
