Yes, it is.

A few years ago I was witness to what was most likely the most considerate way someone could kill himself in a metro system.

I’m so glad we got this HDTV so I can see the ā€œcan’t polish a turdā€ episode of Mythbusters in all its scatological detail.

It’s pretty ridiculous that Ancestry.com controls most of the US census records that are actually online.

So where’s the Unpopular Opinions About Everything Else thread?

Or is that P&R?

Don’t unpopular opinions generally suffuse most threads in Everything Else, after a while?

So, been watching some comedians on Netflix.

Watching a George Carlin stand-up show from about mid 2000-2010.

Is it me or has he gotten a bit dark in his comedy?

Spent about 20 minutes on death. Aw well, he’s still funny.

He died in 2008.

That certainly explains why his comedy has gotten so morbid.

I think Carlin would approve of this observation.

Is there an unpopular comedian opinion thread around here somewhere?

Carlin wasn’t funny.

Sure, kick him while he’s down.

I’ve been fighting this virus for 12 effin’ days now and have come to the conclusion that I am going to win the battle and will not die. Also, Imodium ftw.

Here’s to the most craptacular 7 months of health I’ve had in my adult life, I’m sure to get on a winning streak now! (optimism, probably will get me absolutely nowhere)

51 hours of work in a week is about as fun as you might think.

mmalloy might have doomed this thread.

My sympathies, man. My own health situation has been thoroughly in the shitter since May of last year, too. One can only hope things will start looking up. What was your particular woe/woes?

I have 20 Danish kroner in my desk, and I don’t know where it came from, or how long the bill has been there…

Sorry, but lol. Try 70.

I don’t have enough content to actively have an opinion on this.

Portal of Evil: 2/3/1999 - 2/6/2011

Just crusing around to sites and one of them is gone. All random like…

Sorry, I thought this was the random thought thread, not a pissing contest! But don’t worry, since I actually work three jobs there are weeks when I pull more than that. So lol, buddy, you sure do work harder than me.

Like i prefaced my original comment with, sorry! It was an ā€œirresistible impulseā€. I wasn’t trying to imply that i worked 70 hours a week regularly, but the idea that working for 50 hours a week was so unusual that you had to comment on it made me laugh. I’ve been working the 7:30 to 5:30+ deal for quite some time, and i’m sure there are many posters here that regularly put 50+ hours every week just as a matter of course. It’s like the first time a high school kid puts in 8 hours in a day and is bitching the whole time about it, and the geezers watching nearby snortle at their complaints. You don’t get into bitch about it until you hit, like i said, something a bit higher.

To be fair, though, i have essentially no commute time to speak of. Or if your combining this with University work, fair enough. But just 50 hours a week? (not that this is some barrier of entry to the honored rolls adulthood, or that it’s an ideal number, ect) /Snortle.
