While passing the newstand on my way to work today I happend to glimpse a copy of “High Times” for sale.
How do the editors of that magazine actually manage to publish anything on a deadline?
That did work! Unfortunately it only has my original NWN key associated with it, not the ones for the Platinum edition, so ultimately I’m no better off. Thanks, though. I had assumed the old forums got nuked in the EA takeover.
And in tonight’s installment, we aced Don’t Fear the Reaper, and made it to #12 on the leaderboard for Stonehenge (as well as gasping our way through Total Eclipse of the Heart).
On another note, do people around here seem a bit more surly than usual, lately? What’s up with that?
It did work! I only had my original NWN key registered but through sheer will power (and another check under a bunch of papers) I found my NWN Platinum manual, so I’ve added keys for the entire trilogy to my BioWare account and my li’l spreadsheet.
Thanks for the heads-up. I had assumed the original forums got nuked in the EA takeover.
Random thought: I don’t need to know how old you are to provide you with technical assistance.

Calling it an “action” title seems a bit of stretch, and this coming from someone who played cricket regularly as a lad.
I enjoyed curling as a lad. Still enjoy it though, just not a player any longer.
Many folks just give me a look when I say that.
Is it the same for cricket at times?

There are some things that I feel are out of my control. I want that control back.
Note: if you and your mother decide to meet up at the bookstore after her morning appointment to get her taxes done, make sure you ask exactly what time her appointment is. Otherwise you sit around your kitchen wondering what the hell time she’s going to call you.

Often or Often?
I always thought that pronouncing the word as ofTen was a the incorrect way of pronouncing it, and considered saying it with a hard T the equivalent of saying half with an L. Yet more and more i hear it being used with the hard T.
Any thoughts or regional variations?
Around here it’s always “offen”, and “of-ten” is still incorrect pronunciation, as far as I know. But as with all things language-related, when enough people start pronouncing it “of-ten”, that’ll become a valid alternate pronunciation. Hell, it might already be that way where you are, wherever that is.

Man, the Koln concert always makes me feel exhilarated and generally great. Especially Part ii C.

This Hungry Man chicken dinner I ate tonight did not live up to the picture on the box. A weird combination of over and under done, depending on the item. The potatoes were particularly bad. But somehow the brownie was just about perfect. So that’s something.
Which dinner? Hungry Man’s fried chicken dinner, when made in an actual oven, was always surprisingly good. As was their turkey dinner, which is basically the recipe for the world’s saddest Thanksgiving. Their various grilled chicken, BBQ chicken and fried chicken plank dinners, however, were less good.
They really should be named Lonely Man dinners.

Where are the damn game wardens to deal with these poachers!
My random thought: Giving serious consideration to never watching a football game again after Dave Duerson checked out. I know it makes me a bit of a hypocrite until I get this sorted out, because I still watch hockey (but, I don’t think we are going to see the same kind of brain damage resulting that is beginning to be measured in football and appears to be present in every brain they study).
Plus side, this will leave more time for gaming, and I will blow more NPC brains out …
The Chinese are building a World of Warcraft/Starcraft theme park. An Egyptian man just named his daughter “Facebook.” The world is a strange but wonderful place.

That isn’t a theme park, it’s a South Korean Embassy. Also, irony would be getting access to the park with counterfeit tickets.
And what the latter story isn’t telling you is that Facebook is phonetically the same as a word that means “Screw Mubarak”.
Spider bites are so damn annoying. They look ugly as hell and take forever to heal. I look like I have a bed sore on my arm.
