A lot of fast food restaurants in Kansas are using styrofoam cups again. I haven’t seen that since the eighties. They seem kind if sensitive about it, too. The cups usually have some text on the bottom that insists that styrofoam is more environmentally friendly than paper. It’s a pretty weird throwback.

Styrofoam (or whatever the modern equivalent is) is a better insulator than paper so I actually appreciate the recent resurgence in foam cups. I like to get a large soda with lunch and nurse it all afternoon so having it still be cold hours later is a big bonus for me.

After years of no interest I started thinking it might be a good idea to get a dog. After a couple of days of researching and looking around, I went to my wife to see what she thought. She started laughing and turned her laptop toward me so I could see she was researching breeds of dogs.
