The actual grass-cutting part went well, though I waited too long to get started and had to go over a few patches repeatedly to get it all. I don’t know how effective it’ll be on a long-term basis, but it’s a good workout and it’s quiet.

Hey, it does! I just checked and cracked up.
I can’t post threads or links, but:

It looks like mary-jane may become legal in Ontario if the government doesn’t respond in the next 90 days.
Face it, tiger, you just hit the jackpot.

One of my co-workers is playing an Adam Corolla podcast with guest Jesse Ventura. At this point, I wish I was deaf.
It takes ten minutes to paste 6000 cells into a spreadsheet that is online with Sharepoint.

On Monday I ordered a couple of things off of Walmart.com and chose the free shipping option where they send the item to a local store for pickup. It’s supposed to take 7 to 10 business days, but the first item has apparently already arrived and the second is supposed to be in tomorrow. Pretty impressive for free shipping.
Oh, and they are finally implementing a way to order something online, pay for it (and get the online price), and then go pick it up in the store right away. Finally.
Someone needs to explain to me why the R-PCP problem is undecidable, in words I can actually understand.
I mean, okay, I understand the proof for why the halting problem is undecidable. I can even express that proof formally. I cannot, however, wrap my brain around the reduction to the R-PCP problem.
Argh. This is hard.

So am I going to have to reinstall Crysis just to see if this new videocard is better then my old one? Because none of my other current games seem all that noticeably different.
Man, sometimes it’s nice to work at a place that takes Patriots’ Day off.
Those sometimes are between around 5 on the Friday before the third Monday of April 'til around 5 on the third Monday in April. Then it goes back to being crap.
I thought Patriots’ Day was in September?
That’s Patriot Day, fool.

Status Quo started out with so much promise with Picturesque Matchstick Men. Then they became heroes for pony-tailed, jean wearing, porsche drivers.

If you look at the quartertothree index page, you can make the boxes around the number for the number threads in a subforum move up and down while the number stays still if you unfocus your eyes. You can even make the boxes kind of pulse or move left to right (again while the number is stationary).
That’s freaky.
I prefer Black Veils of Melancholy, even though it’s practically the same song as Pictures of Matchstick men.
I am apparently the Ted McGinley of military engineers. Apparently every unit I was assigned to throughout my career has been deactivated or dissolved and subsumed into another unit within the past few years. I am not sure why I feel upset about this.

I’m quite liking Paradise Flat. Especially for the wailing intro and the talky bit in the middle. And great guitar running underneath it all, and brilliant organ.
Great Day Cafe in downtown Overland Park - highly recommend. Excellent French toast, and it’s staffed by people who are also artists/musicians (yes, hippies). The chef sang the national anthem, even.
Shopping for women’s clothing with my girlfriend really makes me glad I have a smartphone. I’d go batshit crazy otherwise.
