You could always take them down to the pub and use the Dartboard Method of grading.
You mean, something like the Republican Academy of The Hollywoods?
By the way, the 21st Century called, wanted you to know the millenium happened.
Fun Gaming Quotes!
These are quotes from us players, not the game itself.
While playing Batman: Arkham Asylum:
Me: âIâm not sure youâre supposed to break it.â
Matt: âActually, I think Iâm supposed to break everything.â
Me: in Harley Quinn voice âYou want I should get you some pants?â
Me: âBatman can survive a 60-foot fall, did you know?â
Matt: âWell, at least he had the decency to sound annoyed!â
Madden 2011:
Matt: âNnamdi! Bless you, child.â

I feel left behind in the world.
Hearing the news earlier, one guy dies from planking and another one was arrested for planking on a police vehicle. And Iâm left scratching my head thinking âwhat the fuck is planking?â
Oh, I know now. Has my sense of humour atrophied, or is the world filled with more morons than I originally thought. Could be both.
FWIW as the youngest non banned member on the board I also think planking is fucking stupid so itâs not because youâre getting old.
Thatâs the same thing I was thinking. For some reason I assumed it had something to do with skateboarding.
Welp, planking isnât at all what I thought it was (I didnât have a specific idea, but figured it had to do with walking the plank, so to speak). I donât think there are more morons in the world, but theyâre all finding twitter.
Is Network Solutions the official sponsor of the forum index page, or something? 9 times out of 10, itâs one of their banner ads at the top.
I actually made that choice very specifically, since I donât think that we have enough critical distance to judge the long term cultural significance of anything thatâs happened in the 21st century yet.

Jackass. ;)
I donât know why it annoys me when people going to a Ren Faire â if they dress in costume â donât even TRY to wear something even CLOSE to the Renaissance. Yesterday I saw two or three anime characters, a girl in an original series star trek uniform, and one wearing a halo mask, a halo sweatshirt and a katana (they were each alone, BTW, maybe forever alone). Seriously people, you couldnât even try for something even loosely fitting the period? I did see a Jedi too, but that could also fit into some sort of monk motif, so it KIND OF works.
Not to mention that most fairegoers either think that the Renaissance means a) Robin Hood, or b) poofy-shirted court royalty out in the middle of a wooded field. Pick one and stick with it, tardballs.

Star Trek works though, as long as they role play being part of an away teamâŠ
Considering most Ren Faires are less Renaissance and more Medieval Times minus the meal Iâm not sure Naruto and Master Chief are all that out of place.
For a while the Kansas City Renaissance Festival tried to bill itself as being an Elizabethan Festival, but that didnât fly because no one knew what that meant, but everyone knows that the renaissance means knights in armor, King Arthur, bawdy ladies, ye olde cheeze stix, glassblowers, Robin Hood, paying $4 to throw ninja stars, the king presiding over joustin, ye olde turkey legge and storytelling.
True story: when I was a kid my mom made me dress up like a jester, complete with bright tights and a hat with bells on. Little did I realize that at any time I could have sued for emancipation. The only other time I would dress up for the ren faire would be years later when a friend and I went as lepers, resulting in a brief but fierce argument with a guy dressed as a faun that lepers were anachronistic. Fauns arenât even real, asshole!
Maybe Iâll go to King Richardâs Faire this year. mmalloy loves dressing up as a princess and in the tradition of Assassinâs Creed II, I shall dress up as a bard that runs up to people and starts singing terribly whenever they look like theyâre in a hurry.
It may be clichĂ© to say âThis explains everythingâ, but well, this explains everything.
We have two phantom pages now? Seriously?
jason, girl didnât seem to RPâing anything, just walking around as usual.
Bahimiron, maybe, but I think itâs the half-assedness of it that bugs me. âHey, itâa ren fair, throw any olâ costume on.â NooooooooooooooooooâŠ
âBut I wrote it for you!â
Iâve always been tempted to go to a Renaissance Faire, but have yet to actually do so. I would not be dressing up.
I thought the whole point of going to Renaissance Faires was the crazy sex going on 24/7 around every corner. Who cares about how a few people are dressing? Itâs all about undressing.
Thereâs a ton of innuendo, but the actual sexing apparently happens after the fair closes at the hotels where the actors stay at.
And I care because it takes one out of it. Seeing people not dressed up at all, fine. Seeing people dressed up in period garb, awesome. Seeing some lazy asshat in a Halo helmet? WTF?
I think kerzain was trying to offer you a cloved orange, Brian.
