Tried that Eldoncard home blood typing kit today, as I have no idea what my blood type is (could be useful to know if I ever need a transfusion), and apparently I just don’t bleed that much. I could only get a drop and a half out of the lancet site. For the rest, I sterilized a safety pin and gave myself a quick jab.

Apparently I’m type A Negative, though. Gonna get a second card just to be sure, or maybe I should donate blood already…

You know it’s funny - I thought I knew my blood type, A positive, from a test we did in biology class in high school. But my mother says that both she and my father are O positive. Is it possible that I am A positive, or am I just misremembering the results? Or should I start digging up the post office routes in Louisiana mid-1972?

I just got back from spending a week in the little town I grew up in. It’s weird to think that the kids who were working in the fast food places could be the children of people I haven’t seen since high school.

I feel old.
