I just took a full length shower and still smell like gunpowder. Good times.
I just had a serious discussion with someone in our podcast about kissing crocodiles.

Thatās no way to refer to your Mrs. I thank you, Iāll be here all week.
Thatās good, now I know where to hunt you down.
We need more words for dread in the English language. The type of dread I am feeling today is the āFirst day back at work after a week and a half off oh God what is waiting in store for meā dread.
Closely followed by the āOh, fuck so many small tasks like sifting through 500 e-mails to do that I instead just spent all day reading QT3 so tomorrow is going to be even worseā-dread
I absolutely adore the smell of gunpowder. If they made WC844 into a fragrance, Iād be all over that.
Now imagine having 3 months off for Summer! Actually, itās not the same, since everyone else shuts down at the school too (except administrationā¦poor bastards).
So are you the only one who works on the specific things you work on?
I work at a small company, so yeah, itās just me in my department. My backup is actually the companyās president. Fortunately, though, I schedule my vacations for my slow stretch of the month, and he did a fantastic job keeping everything under control. I have a printed off list of emails and notes with highlights to knock out this morning, but I think by noon itāll be completely business as usual.
I recently flew into Charlotte, NC. The washrooms at the airport had attendants with little cups of mouthwash, and various sundries laid out for sale. I have never seen this before. Is this a usual thing in North Carolina? I didnāt see any other washroom attendants during our trip, but we were just in Asheville.
Me, Matt, and Nute were all in Chicago last week, and while there Nute took a picture of me while I was dressed up for the concert. He used some sort of filter on it that made it look like an old photograph - and holy crap I look JUST LIKE MY MOM IN IT. The filter made it look like a photo thatās been sitting in an album for a few decades, so it looked a lot like pictures of my mom from the 70s. I was really struck by it because I had no idea I resembled her so much - Iām basically a mutt, and I take more after my dad. It was pretty cool.
I would like to see the picture so that I know what these nerds look like!
Their wedding photo is in the Look At These Nerds thread (or whatever itās called).
I mean Matt and Nate. Unless theyāre the ones who got married, and Meghan is Mattās sister.
I fucking hate head colds. Especially ones that totally ruin holiday weekends and leave you with little energy for anything besides sleeping and watching Seinfeld reruns.
Here ya go - ignore the look on my face. I didnāt know he was taking the picture, and anyway I didnāt feel good.

You look sad! And just like your mom!
You guys dragged Nute all the way to Chicago just to be your personal photographer?
I think I do quite a good job looking like a bewildered hobo in that picture.
Nah, we dragged Nute around to be our hired muscle on the L train. I was our trip photographer with that ridiculous hunk of metal around my neck there.
