Capitalism, ho!

I hate that when something happens to that seems like it might be pretty bad, the stress of not knowing really hits me hard physically.

Seems like a good place to post this
short excerpt from a spam message I got today- emphasis added by me

On 5th March 2009, when GOD first revealed HIMSELF, one of the things HE spoke to ME and said was “You asked ME for the GOD job and it is available” and I replied “I didn’t ask for YOUR job, GOD!” And GOD reminded ME of MY conversation (prayers) with HIM in the beginning of 1994. GOD asked ME several times did I want the GOD job and pressured ME and pressured ME and pressured ME and in the end I was so annoyed with HIM, I told HIM I’m taking it, just so that I can punish YOU forever and that’s how Jesus got HIS bride!.

There you go and now you know, and that’s how Jesus got HIS bride!.

“Girls in yoga pants” subreddit. OMG! I’m too old for this sh

Banner ad: “10% off our packages.” Bahahahaha.

I can’t believe it’s fucking September already.

I keep thinking about your plane ride post in the weather thread, and how it was two hours of terror. I don’t know if I’ll ever fly again. Or maybe your story should convince me that planes can take insane abuse and travel fine.

I’m not going to lie, I did not want to get on that second hour and a half flight to Boston. But I did and it was fine. I actually wrote an email to the company thanking the pilots for doing such a great job with that flight–if nothing else it did convince me that pilots know what they’re doing. And I am very grateful we had some good ones.

Sounds like it would have been a thrilling trip for anyone who felt comfortable flying in those conditions! I like flying near thunderstorms if it’s not super bumpy.

I don’t mind turbulence. I actually find it fun. But this was not fun. It not only was up and down, the plane was being thrown left and right and I’m pretty sure we were hit by lightning once. If we weren’t it was a near fucking miss. You could tell the pilot was trying to find a pocket that wasn’t a mess, but he just couldn’t. At no time during those first two hours (and it was a six hour flight) were we ever not in what I would call severe turbulence. Worse, they never came on to tell you what was up or how long they thought it would take to get through or that people ahead had reported it continued, etc. It was complete silence except for in the beginning when they told you to put your seatbelts on and then about halfway through when a guy got up to get something out of an overhead compatment (?!) and the flight attendant immediately told him to sit down as we were in “moderate turbulence” and all I could think of was “Lady, I want some of your denial” because I was sitting there trying to figure out how long it took a plane to fall from the sky and if I would have time to grab my phone, turn it on, and send a text to my mom.

Egad.

I’m with Dave. Horrifying.

In such situations, when the crew doesn’t tell you what’s going on, I can’t help but imagine the pilots gripping their controls, occasionally reaching for the intercom only to have the plane lurch to the side so that they have to re-clutch the vibrating steering stick.

If there is anything worse then a cold when its like 80 outside, I don’t know what it is.

As bad as 2012 is, Earthquake was worse.

I’m really happy humans (and all animals really) have bladders. Imagine what society would be like otherwise.

very smelly, but with a different perspective on public exposure?

This is my second venti americano of the day, this time with a double shot of espresso. AAAHHHH!

You know what, screw Hewlett ackard. Its my own damn fault for buying a Comaq lato, but its only been, what, a year or so, and already not only is the number ad not working, but other keys are going now, too. Like the letter than falls between O and Q. And the lus sign. And the slash that isnt this one . And the colon. And the hyhen. And the question mark.

What the hell I hate you Comaq. Time to see if that SquareTrade warranty is still in effect.

I listen to gaming music all the time, and I have the music from the first Sims game, which is usually pretty dang good. Is the music from the following installments as good?
