MTTS is great. Drew’s a genius.
Today I saw a brick and mortar video store whose sign said
WE HAVE KATE HUDSON IN
SOMETHING BORROWED
RED BOX DOESN’T
Yes, scrappy little video store. Kate Hudson and her shitty rom-com will save you.
Some junkless fucks broke into my girlfriend’s apartment. Trashed the place, stole the nice Samsung plasma TV and who knows what else. So angry right now.
I just misread Razgon’s location tag as “Denmark, land of Milk and Honkies,” and somehow it still works.
Also, damn, Brian.

My vet’s office has a pair of lovebirds in the waiting room, and their screeching makes me want to wring their necks.

Arbys has come out with some angus beef based sandwiches. While the three cheese and bacon one is what you would expect (and good, since it has bacon!), the “cool deli” is a little more risky. I tried one today and really liked it. Unlike the cheese and bacon, its a cold sandwich with the angus roast beef, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, swiss, mayo, vinagrette, pickles, and bananna peppers. The mild peppers really give it a nice pop.

I am always impressed by the quality of the American flags I see on display in photos and news reel. Maybe it’s because the American flag is harder to physically construct, or maybe it’s because Americans put more pride (and money) into getting their nation’s flag, but they always look much nicer than the tatty tri-colours you see on display here.
If anyone would like to show off his or her French translation skills, I could use some help with the opening two paragraphs and the last paragraph of this letter by Rene Descartes. I’ve used online translators, and they are not able to do justice.
Thanks in advance, should anyone take up this challenge!
Old Cartesius used a fairly ornate style. Let’s see…
By the way, I am very obliged to you that you have supported my position concerning the rule (law, axiom, whatever) de maximis of M. de Fermat; and I am not at all surprised that you do not judge it any more advantageously than I did, for everything you said is true of the fashion in which it is presented.
But as for my claim, even in my first comment, that one could correct this rule and write it well, which I have upheld ever since, I am assured you will not mind if I here describe its foundation; likewise I persuade myself that these gentlemen who estimate it so highly do not understand it, nor perhaps him who is the rule’s author.
So here is the foundation of the rule, in which there are virtually two equations, even though only one needs to be mentioned expressly, because the other serves only to remove these homogènes (groups? no idea – a mathematical term that should be explained in the rest of the letter); but it is very likely that M. de Fermat did not understand that at all, and that he has merely stumbled upon it, seeing as he has omitted the principal condition, namely the one which presupposes this foundation, just as you will see, if you please, because I have requested the above to be corrected in a letter sent to the Reverend Father Mersenne. Yours, etc.
Merci and hot damn! Thank you, M. Nahr.

Chris is the only sane German here, which makes the ratio about 1:10.

Does anyone else find it rather contradictory that it took him three paragraphs to say “Folks don’t understand, and frankly Fermat doesn’t understand either.” and then he abbreviates the letter’s closing formalities?

My co-workers gave me a giant container of cheese puffs for my birthday yesterday. According to the packaging there are 1100 cheese ball puffs in this thing.
I think its going to take me awhile to finish this off. ;-)

Just make sure to wipe off any crumbs on your office chair eat. Then you can go the Elhajj route and swap chairs when nobody is looking.
When you think ‘user comments on news stories couldn’t possibly become more inane’ they do! It’s like magic. Dumb magic.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution has taught me that in 15 years, nobody will set their own usernames or passwords, and the bulk of all electronic communications will be people telling other people what their usernames and passwords are.
