Damn, I gotta give Amazon credit. I ordered the Mighty Boosh Special Edition DVD yesterday via Prime with 2 day shipping and it arrived today. How the hell did that happen?

Bought a recliner chair today for the front room. While carrying it in I tripped on an errant piece of green hose that somehow ended up in my front yard, sprained my wrist and my middle finger on my left hand.

My first thought, after all the cursing and pain was, ā€œOh fuck, how will I play Skyrim?ā€

Whew, I thought you were going to say you fucked up a new chair.

Or you were happy to have a place to sit while you recover.

That says, sucks about Skyrim-- hope you work it out.

Thankfully my wife didn’t have the same initial reaction.

I’m not comfortable playing a wasd game at the moment (it was my left arm), so I’ve been taking my controller out for a test drive on the 360, and I think it will be much more comfortable for me to use it on my PC for now. Although I typically don’t like controllers in games like this, it beats the alternative.

Got Skyrim last night, played for a few hours before early AM bedtime, was excited because I had today off to play it. Woke up, wrote a quick shopping list, car wouldn’t start. Screwed around with car. Not sure, think it might be the starter. Probably will be a few days before I get it fixed, will have to make other arrangements for work tomorrow, may end up blowing next off day fixing it. If I do it myself, that’s at least $100. Meanwhile, power went out in neighborhood. Roommate lent me his car so I could get my shopping done. Came home, twiddled thumbs.

Power just came back on.

Not an 11-11-11 I’ll probably have fond memories of.

You have to put a few more points into your Diagnose Car.

What I really need to do is put some more points into my ā€œdon’t get too stressed out about stuff skill.ā€ I’m sure I’ll survive, after all. ;-)

I’ve spent $1100 in car repairs for two vehicles these last 4-5 weeks. Unfortunately it was crap I couldn’t do myself, given my lack of tools, equipment and space I’d need to do the jobs right.

The good news is that as of next month my second vehicle will finally be paid off, and we’ll have no more car payments. Time to start investing it all in a Florida time share, or lottery tickets.

The mousetrap by my bedroom door went off last night, literally within three seconds of climax.

New theory: mice are attracted to sex noises. >.<

That’s amazing! That you posted that.

I miss the med student. She was very discreet.

I’m lucky in that this car is paid off and I have a co-worker who is basically a trained mechanic with experience on the brand of car I own. So it will cost me parts and he’s going to come by tomorrow to help me do the job, which is important because the starter on this car is not easy to get to and I have bigger hands. He also has all the tools we’d ever need in case I don’t have what we need (not that a starter requires any special tools, really).

So it should just be the parts, time, and stress that I pay out on this one. ;-)

Got my car fixed this morning. Good thing my mechanic friend was able to help, he did most of the work and said I would have had a hard time of it with my larger hands.

Now its Skyrim and football the rest of the day. ;-)

The marketing phrase ā€œIt takes months to find a customer but only seconds to lose oneā€ takes on a whole new meaning inside a hospital.

Of course the who concept of ā€œcustomerā€ really doesn’t apply at a hospital, does it?

What paradise of socialized medicine are you living in then, Rich?
