Pointy. And fast.

Edit: And I’m sure none of them sell insurance.

How are you sure, exactly?

No, you’re an anole.

Like this?

Because if they did, they would not run away from me. Instead they would swarm me with offers. Duh.

BTW on laptop now. If anyone cares.

Edit for Ed: Not that color. More brown or dark olive. Maybe the size of my pinky finger. But that phenotype.

They change color, dude. I kept two as pets when I was a kid.

Spent most of the day updating laptop. Avast, etc. Also listening to wife freak out because sometimes working remotely is like picking up a single grain of rice with your asscheeks.

Edit: Got one!

That’s a Bigfoot, dude.

I love you JMJ.

Edit: House purchase went through. Deposit check cashed. Pending inspection and file check, it’s ours. Lizards and all.

Holy crap. Win 7 64 bit will run on my laptop. Too bad I can’t afford it.

So what’s the polite grace period to wait before asking someone for money they owe you?

I bought several tickets to an upcoming event last Thursday, and only 1 out of 3 folks has paid me so far. I told folks they could send a check or use Paypal. Is a week a good time to wait until I send them polite reminders?

Thanks!

Have you got the tickets? Then don’t hand them over without the cash.

I’ve not printed them out yet, but yes, I do have them. However, the event isn’t until January. Should I wait until then to nag folks?

I would send a polite note saying you have the tickets, remind them how much they owe and ask them to stop by when they can to pay for them and pick them up. There isn’t any reason for you to carry the cost until Jan.

A friend of mine who wrote for a premium cable show that ended recently just had an interview with Aaron Sorkin. Apparently he has fired most of The Newsroom’s writing staff and is retooling the entire thing for Season 2.

Yep, and that’s a perfectly polite and reasonable way to do it.

Just noticed this. Congratulations, Rich!

My roommate’s favourite music is EDM remixes of female singer-songwriters that he finds on Youtube.

Thanks Ed. New place by by Tuesday:

Ooooh, nice! Party at Rich’s place.
