I have a couple. Why are some people able to roll/twist their tongues, but others can’t? Isn’t the muscle basically the same (with slight variations) in all of us?

Also, why is it that when I watch World’s Dummest Drivers/Criminals on trutv, they almost always have at least one (often more) from Ohio? Is Ohio full of dumb people, or do they just take more videos and submit them to TV shows? And no, I’m not noticing it more because I’m from Ohio. That may have led me to notice it in the first place, but there’s no fallacy here. It really is the case that Ohio is represented more than other states on that show. I’ve tracked it.

Please, most of 'em are from here in CA.

My xBox 360 arrived in the mail yesterday and I decided to hit up a local Hollywood Video/Gamecrazy that’s going out of business to see what kind of deals they’re having. They’re prices, after discount, are significantly worse than Amazon.com. No wonder they’re going out of business.

It also looks like they’re boosting up the ‘original price’ on everything, so that the price ‘after discount’ is still high. They’re also selling used games for new prices…

I wasn’t expecting miracles, but bleh.

I have written 96,731 words on this book so far. I am two-thirds of the way through. This is already the longest thing I’ve ever written, easily. I think I’m actually going to finish this!

Not on the show, they aren’t. Count em.

Is this an expanded version of your NaNoWriMo project or something new? In either case, congrats!

I am finally making serious headway on the second draft of my NaNoWriMo novel. In the end the extra time away from it gave me some good perspective on it.

Same thing as NaNo. I’ve gone through slow spurts, both justified (family illness throwing my entire life off the rails for a few weeks) and unjustified (Just Cause 2). This week, though, it’s flying.

Putting your writing on hold to commit mayhem on the isle of Panau is certainly a … (sunglasses) Just Cause.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAH!!!

Yay, FIOS finally became available in my neighborhood.

Does anyone ever actually use those blank “Notes” pages at the end of game manuals for taking notes?

I used to write level codes in old Sega Genesis booklets.

The Nordic Rox hour on SiriusXM has some pretty darn good music.

When you see it…

I set down a mostly empty two liter bottle of diet soda because my cup was maxed out on foam and the bottle tipped over and off of the table. Luckily not a drop spilled as it landed on its side softly and there wasn’t enough to overflow at that angle.

Despite the law of averages, if I do not check which way my shirt is before pulling it on, it will always be backwards. Always.

It would be pretty cool to be a demolitions expert. Sitting in my motel room and hearing a very loud bang followed by a definite rumbling through my motel room to remind me that it is that time of the day and week when the mine does its planned explosive work.

Can not wait until Friday when they do it again!

Firefly.

I predict the Wii Vitality Sensor will make headlines within its first thirty days on the market when it alerts unknowingly unhealthy gamers to the fact their hearts are beating out of control when they’re just sitting there doing nothing.

From my Spanish grammar professor: “After this class, you all have permission to kill Friedrich for asking a question about the past tenses.”

From my Spanish conversation professor: “Today, we´re going to be learning how to get taxi fare out of a Spanish man you met in a bar an hour ago…”

I love Andalucian professors. Subtlety just isn´t their style.
