Aawww, I kinda loved being dumped in the thick of it, but I get it.

What is your favorite turret when you’re flying the dump truck? I’m torn between the better accuracy and firing speed of the Combat Turret vs. the better damage of the Mass Driver Turret.

Holy crap. I’m gonna have power left over!
*Pirate population reduced 15% in Texas. - Boooo to the babies LOL
Travis there are a few things I would like to see amended:
- Volume levels on the station are ~25% lower than when you’re out in the field. 5.1 surround sound. So I have to keep changing my Volume every time I land and take off.
- All the Classical music volume is a bit too low. There is one piece in particular that is way, way too low as it’s a softer movement. Once again, you hit the absolute best music in the classical genre.
- You should increase the docking fee based on the value of the ship you’re using. Call it a Mozart’s Don Giovanni for one… may be others.
- Could really use an abort docking/jump option.
- I think the amount of jumps you can do in a craft should be cut in half. I never have a need to refuel at your super cool gas stations. Make it part of the gameplay.
- Would like to see the mining spots show up further away. With the largest asteroids it is darn hard finding those spots since you have to be so close.
- Windshield wipers. LOLdocking tax. If you can make it expensive enough, it would give us an additional reason to want to refuel/rearm at the gas station instead of landing at a station. It would also give us a use for money late game. If a person runs out of money and they need to land, let them land for free.
- Thanks for the great support and a kickass game!

Abort docking/jump is a great idea. Just hit B.
Can you not just let go of A?

It auto-docks if you get close enough.
This may have been obvious to everyone but me, but when you accept a mission to go collect (via tractor beam) a bounty, the mission updates to point to the nearest outpost - but you don’t have to go to that one (like, if the nearest/only outpost is a pirate base or something).
Tracer. Always the Tracer.
Picked up xbox controller to play this, played a bit already using mouse/kb, so need to get reoriented to what does what.
Can’t for the life of me figure out what toggles to next target, it’s T on keyboard, what is it on the controller?
By default, it’s hold down the left bumper button while going left or right on the dpad, while pushing up will select closest enemy.
If it’s something you want to do a lot I recommend mapping it to right stick up or down. The only reason I don’t by default is because some people wildly wiggle the right stick, and if you don’t know it’s going to happen, it’s annoying.
Thanks for quick responses! I’ll stick with default and see how that works out!
Edit: oh, and this may also be obvious, was is ECM button, button layout display says R. I’m a novice with a gamepad controller, is that R as in RT or RB? Or something else entirely, just says R
It means click in on it :) Clicking in on the left stick is boosters.

Since you’re just starting out now is a good time to do all your remapping. I posted this on reddit. It’s got Travis’s changes plus my own. Combat works really good like this.

So cool! I get to updoot a Qt3 member!
Tried to start up the game, got this instead:
Any idea what it’s about? Their knowledge base deson’t list the error code. Quick Google search finds some Fortnite threads with no real answer.
Edit: Still don’t know what the problem was, but I tried again a few minutes later and it worked. Never mind I guess.
Well, I checked all my Nvidia control panel stuff, have game Vsync off and have tried various permutations of the control panel settings, and for the life of me I can’t break 60 fps–utterly smooth ones, I hasten to add, but still. Other games like AC Origins etc do 90 or more easy (I just checked), but whether using FPS Monitor, or Steam’s or my monitor’s FPS counters, same thing, not a hair above 60. I’m at a loss. Something about my configuration, I suppose, but what?
Can someone else with a Gsync monitor who’s getting more than 60 give me the details of their Nvidia CP settings, in case I’ve overlooked something? Thanks.

I’ll check tomorrow with my G-Sync monitor and RTSS.
I very much agree that the classical music station needs to be louder. Is there a track list for the stations somewhere, BTW? In a stream I watched, I could swear I heard the Overture to the Magic Flute, but I haven’t heard it playing the game. Any chance that Beethoven’s Leonore No. 3 made it in there? I heard King Stephan’s Overture (Beethoven), and Don Giovanni (Mozart).
