Of course it will be. :)

I’ve been getting this particular question a lot. Do people not archive their streams for later viewing (this is a question for everyone)? I know Twitch gets rid of them after 14 days, but YouTube keeps them forever.

Cool. Not all archive them. Though most of the streamers I watch do.

Maybe it’s because I’m a digital pack rat, but this baffles me. If the service lets you keep everything, KEEP EVERYTHING. That’s what I do anyway.

For the original Rebel Galaxy is there a big/any difference between the PS4 and PC version? Somehow I ended up with it on both platforms. ie. is one a superior experience?

Come on, @jpinard you know the answer to that. You can always turn the PC details to 11 vs the PS4.

The PC version has the handy keyboard shortcut for the scanning pulse, which otherwise has to be activated from a weapon wheel type thing.

I keep waking up and it’s not August 13. When will this nightmare end?

August 13.

Hahahah. I know, right? At work, every time I have a deadline or something that has to be submitted to a regulatory agency, I always think of the date in terms of August 13. Oh, the deadline is August 9th? That’s four days before Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. Oh, I have to get this done by August 15? I’d better get it done by August 12th in case I get too little sleep on August 13th and the day after.

You’re not helping.

You complain. And yet it will be August 13th for you while we plebs are still living the August the 12th life. :(

Guys it’ll be worth the wait.

You be quiet! There are people in pain here.

But that’s the thing! We future people have to adhere to the out-of-date timelines adhered to by those living in the past, at least most of the time. So in fact we might not get to play it until at least… the next day.

[edit] “adhered to” twice within four words. You see what this is doing to me!!?

Hey hypothetical question.

The game is DRM-free but I have a light launcher check that is circumventable with a commandline argument. The main reason it is there is to ensure that your cloud saves are synced. You can skip it by adding -EpicPortal to the commandline on a shortcut or whatever.

Is that going to cheese a bunch of people off? My preference is for the default not to be a confusing mess when it comes to cloud saves. (How come it didn’t sync THIS time?!)

Personally I’d prefer my cloud saves are synced at all costs.

wouldn’t bother me

I don’t use cloud saves but I also don’t personally have an issue with a launcher check. However, I know some people rail against anything like that so it might be playing with fire until a clear enable/disable option can be presented (especially considering some already have issues with Epic).

Either way the EGS hate brigade will invent a reason to be mad about it.

I suggest documenting it on the store page to avoid the rush of Epic store haters. Although they can’t hate it TOO much if they bought on the store in the first place.
