The Xbox One gamepad (the one with Bluetooth) is pretty much the standard now on PC, the successor to the 360 wired pad. You can also use the Xbox One pad wired using a big standard mini USB to USB cable.

For PC gaming, it’s hard to beat the good old Xbox controller and wireless USB adapter.

I tried their elite gamepad but after the RB button broke after only a year.

K&M is working pretty well, after a bit of fine-tuning. Everything is remappable so you can customize to your heart’s content. I do have one minor issue with over-sensitivity but have spoken to Travis about it and he’s given me some tweaks to try. I’ll post up my config when it’s ready if anybody cares to see it

The 1st hour is unbelievably cool and you get right into the mix of things. I’ve already won a pool game and a new weapon, shot down a handful of pirates, did some scouting missions, and started the main story mission. Runs awesome at ULTRA everything with an i7 3.6ghz, 16GB RAM and GTX 1070 and looks gorgeous. The music and audio is outstanding as well. Really happy with it so far!

Fuck yeah you are. ;)

I just want to understand why everyone is playing the game already and we still can’t…???

I’m feeling so not special right now…

Doctor Mario?

It’s because I’m a Social Media influenza! (or something) But yeah, video tomorrow if anyone cares to watch a newb flying around in a space-Pinto …

Say, how does the game handle ultrawide resolutions? Vert- or hor+? Adjustable FOV?

Apparently it looks great.

Just got back from France, preorderized. Travis don’t need no marketing department, he got @BrianRubin and that’s worth about twelve of those. ;-)

Actually, I’m also curious as to whether there’s an FoV slider or similar.

Besides going from capital ships and 2d fights, to fighters and 3d fights - what else is different between Rebel Galaxy, and Rebel Galaxy Outlaw?

BTW I already pore-ordered, just wish there was an error and it would unlock early! This would be perfect game in my current state of mind I think.

There’s no FOV slider - the cockpit and hand functionality is dependent on the FOV to work properly. (it also gets force changed for various scenes and camera cuts.)
And so are all those scenes on stations!
In the Photo Mode, you have FOV control, but not in-game proper.

Also note that while ultra widescreen doesn’t give you much more visibility in-cockpit in the Platypus (forward windows), boy can you see more in a Coyote or Sandhawk.

Well, I hope the default is wide enough, then. I’d hate to have to play in only short bursts for fear of tossing my cookies.

It does look great! What I’d like to know though, is what happens to the field of view when the horizontal aspect ratio increases. Does the game keep the FOV fixed, and just lop off the top and bottom of the picture (vert-)? Or does it adjust the FOV to accomodate the increased ratio (hor+)? Is it something that the players can adjust themselves?

If I wasn’t sold before, I am now. Love games that use all that screen real estate.

What I want is a game that uses my second monitor. Would love to put a map on there, quest list, etc.

@tbaldree , is 4k an option with a GTX1080 (non-TI)?
